Operational Duties:<\/p>\n
\tFollow instructions accurately from Team leader\/Operations Manager
\n\tProficient Understanding and Operation of Cutting, Folding, stitching as per Industry spec and processes that follow thereafter
\n\tThoroughly understand the work ticket before commencing the job.
\n\tEnsure that machines are set correctly, and jobs are running as per the required spec set out as per the work docket size.
\n\tPre-shift inspection of equipment adherence to scheduled maintenance plan.
\n\tReport on maintenance problems via the correct system and follow procedure.
\n\tVerify all jobs process are as per customers requirement\/signoff.
\n\tReport on all downtime and breakages.
\n\tConduct the production of the Lithographic printing business (Finishing). This involves, but is not limited to, the production\/printing processes, collating, paste-up, packing, counting, machinery usage, controlling wastage and raw material usage.
\n\tConduct quality control on all jobs printed.
\n\tEnsuring production deadlines are met to ensure that timelines are met.
\n\tAlerting the factory manager\/Operations Manager of equipment and stock items to be purchased as and when the need arises.
\n\tProvides various other duties with regards to the production\/printing department as and when required.
\n\tLiaise with the Operations manager regarding printing and machinery at the factory and conduct the repairs timeously.
\n\tConduct weekly stock counts over the Factory stock items as directed by the Factory Manager\/Operations Manager.
\n\tConduct the destruction of obsolete publications as approved by the Operations Manager
\n\tFill out job cards for every printing.
\n\tLimit high levels of wastage.
\n\tSafeguard company assets and company stock (raw material and finished goods) always.
\n\tEnsure machine is secure at the end of a shift.
\n\tRegular testing and maintenance of the machines.
\n\tAccurate counting of print runs and raw materials.
\n\tAccurate packing of routes.
\n\tAccurate reconciliations and completions of necessary production schedules.
\n\tWilling to offer growth and development to existing and new team members and train team members without prejudice<\/p>\n
Quality Control\/Health and Safety:<\/p>\n
\tComply with company policies and procedures (dress code\/uniforms\/safety wear, smoke breaks, confidentiality, operational processes etc.)
\n\tCompliance with health of safety standards implemented at the Factory.
\n\tSHE & OSH act requirements with a \u201cZero Injury\u201d culture compliance.
\n\tBe cognizant of fire hazards. Report risks to the Factory Manager.
\n\tAdherence to housekeeping standards.
\n\tMaintain machinery and ensure weekly housekeeping is completed.<\/p>\n
