Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tObtain detailed medical history
\n\tCollect protocol-required specimens (blood) on adults and pediatric participants
\n\tConduct participant interviews and administer study questionnaires
\n\tMake relevant participant referrals to local health care providers as required
\n\tConduct visits to participants at their place of living.
\n\tGood and accurate documentation including good record keeping
\n\tCapture data using an electronic data capture process
\n\tConduct regular quality control checks to ensure accuracy of data collection and good data quality
\n\tCarry out research administrative duties.
\n\tTraining of participants on self-collection<\/p>\n
Core Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tNursing diploma
\n\tRegistration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
\n\tTwo years\u2019 nursing experience
\n\tProven experience in phlebotomy and biological specimen collection
\n\tIntermediate level computer literacy
\n\tLanguage proficiency in isiZulu and English<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tPrevious experience in conducting research trials.
\n\tBLS Training (Basic Life Support)
\n\tAbility to work independently and productively.
\n\tEfficient organizational skills
\n\tWillingness to work outside normal working hours when required.<\/p>\n
