Minimum Qualifications and Experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tB Com (Honours) in Finance or B.Sc (Honours) in Finance or any other similar commerce, engineering, legal, internal audit or finance degree\u00a0
\n\tA minimum of 6 years experience in commercial\/corporate turnarounds and rehabilitation, in an asset management, private equity organisation, financial institution or consulting firm in the areas of financial management, business processes, HR management and structures, systems and related areas\u00a0
\n\tFAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tProfessional qualification in finance, engineering, legal, internal audit or any other similar relevant degree\u00a0
\n\tChartered Accountant, CFA, Master\u2019s degree or Certified Rescue Analyst (CRA) would be an advantage\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Technical\/Core Skills Requirement – experience in at least 4 areas must be demonstrated\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of credit risk assessment\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of Financial Analysis and Interpretation\u00a0
\n\tA well-developed knowledge of business, management and finance philosophies and practices.
\n\tWell-developed knowledge of working in a consulting environment solving problems for organisations or companies in the areas of balance sheet and income statement management, general financial management, business processes, HR structures, processes and capacity, governance, accounting and other systems and general evaluation of businesses.\u00a0
\n\tAbility to apply technical and business understanding to assist with the rehabilitation of non-performing assets.\u00a0
\n\tAbility to apply a wide range of financial and risk assessment and mitigation techniques to the client\u2019s business operations.\u00a0
\n\tDealing with private sector \/ commercial workout turnarounds\u00a0
\n\tExperience of the legal process associated with turnarounds \/workouts, business rescue and liquidations.\u00a0
\n\tExperience in Investment Analysis and Financial Modelling\u00a0
\n\tExperience in working with Government, SOE\u2019s and the Auditor General\u00a0
\n\tExperience in managing consultants and holding them accountable for outcomes within budgeted timeframes\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties:<\/p>\n
\tPrepare submission reports for the various committees, clients and other stakeholders\u00a0
\n\tReview submission documents prepared by PMV and ESG for the movement of investments to Turnaround\u00a0
\n\tAssist in drafting RFPs for approval by the AFP &\/ FP\u00a0
\n\tMonitoring of investments against Turnaround Plans\u00a0
\n\tProvide early warning signals to the Manager on new developments not already identified at date of transfer\u00a0
\n\tUpdate database of investee companies, research and analysis for all investments moved to the Turnaround portfolio\u00a0
\n\tConduct portfolio company visits and maintain ongoing interactions with the portfolio companies;\u00a0
\n\tConduct detailed financial analysis on investee companies\u00a0
\n\tAssist in due diligence scoping and conducting due diligence for investments that may be required to implement the turnaround plan\u00a0
\n\tAssist in the drafting of legal agreements\u00a0
\n\tAssist in the restructuring of the transaction\u00a0
\n\tPerform\/Assist in Valuations if part of the Turnaround Plan\u00a0
\n\tUpdating of valuations model and database\u00a0
\n\tData capturing (capturing all the investee companies’ data into the systems)\u00a0
\n\tDevelopment of post-investment plan to be submitted together with the investment appraisal report\u00a0
\n\tAssist in managing investees in Business Rescue by Monitoring the BR procedure.\u00a0
\n\tAssist in managing clients in Liquidation\u00a0
\n\tLiaison with the Auditor General\u00a0
\n\tLiaison with Clients<\/p>\n
