implementation of sound operational, commercial, and financial strategies to ensure the growth of Mintek\u2019s revenue and profitability.<br \/>\n\tCreate an environment for Mintek to succeed and manage outputs.<br \/>\n\tLeads and promotes transformation agenda and enhances BBBEE positioning of Mintek<br \/>\n\tEnsures that Clusters are provided with key strategic information and KPIs organisation.<\/p>\n<p>Creating strategic vision \/ developing strategy for sustainable success<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure that there are sound operational, commercial and financial strategies to grow the Mintek environment and impact the organisation.<br \/>\n\tLead financial analysis and related efforts in support of corporate development and investment opportunities.<br \/>\n\tEnsure financial sustainability of the Organisation by directing investments in the key strategic areas<br \/>\n\tProvide mechanisms to foster innovation in research and technology environments relevant to industry.<br \/>\n\tSteer the creation of strategic pathways focusing on sustainability in the mining environment.<br \/>\n\tLead the development and implementation of short-term, medium, and long-term growth strategic goals.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and maintain an effective financial operating model and the associated structure to achieve growth.<\/p>\n<p>Supply Chain Management<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsures that fit-for-purpose Supply Chain policies and procedures are developed, maintained and applied.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that all supply chain activities are effectively coordinated and optimized, from planning, sourcing, production, logistics, order fulfillment, and to the end customer.<br \/>\n\tEnsure effective SCM to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.<br \/>\n\tGovern the implementation of internal controls mechanism and anti-corruption measures.<br \/>\n\tHigh standard of professional ethics must be promoted and maintained.<br \/>\n\tEnsures that Mintek has the necessary systems and processes to eliminate needless irregular and wasteful expenditure.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Financial management and monitoring<\/p>\n<p>\tAccountable for Financial Modelling and Analysis to ensure Financial Sustainability.<br \/>\n\tEnsure credibility of finance team and function by providing timely and accurate comparative financial performance reports, analysis of budgets and financial forecasts and profitability analysis, cash flow management\/planning, and development and management both immediate and longer-term financing strategy and on-going management.<br \/>\n\tAccountable to perform regular analyses of business operations and enhancing current business practices.<br \/>\n\tEnsure proper management of the assets, working capital and liabilities for the Organisation.<br \/>\n\tAccountable for assessing, evaluating, and reporting on staff as well as key business indicators.<br \/>\n\tLeads the achievement of budget revenue, margins and profitability measures as approved by the Board to maximise returns to shareholders.<br \/>\n\tResponsible to report to Exco and the Mintek Board and its committees about trends, challenges and opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvements.<br \/>\n\tAccountable for driving the implementation of an effective financial management system for the whole organisation.<\/p>\n<p>Campus Management Support (CMS) Leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tAccountable for the strategic leadership, resource planning, and operational effectiveness of Campus Management Services to ensure the infrastructure supports a high-performing research and innovation environment.<br \/>\n\tOversee the development and implementation of integrated facilities and infrastructure plans aligned to organisational strategy and sustainability goals.<br \/>\n\tAccountable to ensure optimal utilisation, maintenance, and life cycle management of physical assets including buildings, utilities, and research support infrastructure.<br \/>\n\tAccountable to promote health, safety, and environmental compliance across all campus operations.<br \/>\n\tOversee the implementation of green building principles and sustainable campus operations, including energy efficiency, waste management, and water conservation initiatives.<br \/>\n\tOversee the establishment of performance metrics and service delivery standards for CMS to support internal customer satisfaction and institutional excellence.<br \/>\n\tProvide strategic guidance for the procurement and contracting of facilities-related services, ensuring value for money, compliance, and transformation imperatives.<br \/>\n\tFoster collaboration between CMS and scientific, support, and administrative clusters to enhance the user experience and operational responsiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide strategic direction for the ICT function, ensuring alignment with Mintek\u2019s digital transformation agenda and operational excellence.<br \/>\n\tOversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of ICT systems that support core business processes, scientific research, and organisational agility.<br \/>\n\tChampion innovation in digital solutions, including cloud computing, automation, and data analytics to support Mintek\u2019s competitiveness and strategic growth.<br \/>\n\tEnsure robust cybersecurity governance, data integrity, and business continuity planning in line with national and global best practices.<br \/>\n\tOversee the development of an enterprise-wide digital strategy that enables collaboration, knowledge management, and future-proofing of ICT infrastructure.<br \/>\n\tOversee the adoption of ERP and other enterprise systems that enhance decision-making, integration, and operational efficiency.<br \/>\n\tOversee the establishment and monitoring of ICT service level agreements (SLAs), governance frameworks, and performance indicators to ensure reliable and secure ICT operations.<br \/>\n\tOversee the development of talent and capability within the ICT team to meet evolving organisational and technological demands.<\/p>\n<p>People and Planning<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure Mintek is adequately resourced with the right skills at all levels in areas of responsibility.<br \/>\n\tEnsure the development of a succession plan for the areas of responsibility<br \/>\n\tEnsure alignment between Mintek\u2019s strategy and the needs of the market cascade down to all the clusters.<br \/>\n\tOptimises staff utilisation and development by applying policies and procedures.<br \/>\n\tMonitors and manages performance to clearly communicated expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Governance, Compliance and Risk Management<\/p>\n<p>\tOversee the development and enforcement of policies that will improve the operational effectiveness of the company.<br \/>\n\tKeep under review the integrity of all control systems and management processes including risk management.<br \/>\n\tLeads the identification of business risks and put in place proper systems to enhance business, statutory and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\tSupport a safe working environment through providing structures fostering best business practice with regards to quality and safety.<br \/>\n\tBalance the aspects of conformance and performance, ensuring that Mintek conducts itself in accordance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\tGovern the implementation of internal controls mechanism and anti-corruption measures.<br \/>\n\tMitigates financial risk to the Group, protecting the organisation against threats and supporting ongoing success by \u2013<br \/>\n\tidentifying, assessing and managing potential risks<br \/>\n\tdeveloping and implementing risk management plans<br \/>\n\tEnsure compliance with legislative frameworks such as (PFMA, Treasury Regulations, constitutions, etc) and all relevant laws.<br \/>\n\tEnsure adherence to all Mintek\u2019s policies and ethics.<br \/>\n\tHigh standards of professional ethics must be promoted and maintained.<\/p>\n<p>Relationship Building and Management<\/p>\n<p>\tLead effective engagement with stakeholders to understand issues and develop relationships, in particular clients and customers, employees, governments and regulators, business partners, special interest groups who have legitimate concerns or involvement and the communities in which the company operates.<br \/>\n\tActively participate in stakeholder engagements and influence current topics.<br \/>\n\tAlign strategies and work focus on stakeholder priorities and executing the organisational mandate.<br \/>\n\tProvide direct stakeholders such as shareholders and employees with clear objectives and targets to achieve their goals.<br \/>\n\tSupport stakeholders through provision of services and relevant information feeds.<br \/>\n\tLead investor relations activities that enable Mintek to achieve optimum value.<br \/>\n\tEstablish and develop relations with internal and external strategic stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate the understanding of the performance of Mintek\u2019s and its business units.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Reporting<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure that the following is undertaken in accordance with agreed standards and ready for presentation to relevant committees:<br \/>\n\tStatutory Reporting including but not limited to all tax returns.<br \/>\n\tFinancial Statements and Regulatory Reporting.<br \/>\n\tNew Regulatory and Accounting Developments.<br \/>\n\tAccountable to report on the financial health of Mintek to the board at regular intervals.<br \/>\n\tOversee the compilation of Annual Financial Statements for distribution to the Board.<br \/>\n\tResponsible for the content of the financial information contained in the Integrated Annual Report and ensure that it complies with all regulatory requirements.<br \/>\n\tProvide monthly and quarterly reports for all areas of responsibility to the Leadership of the organisation and the Board.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n<p>\tRegistered and Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) with SAICA.<br \/>\n\tRelevant Postgraduate tertiary qualification and professional registration (NQF Level 9) &#8211; MBA or MCOM<\/p>\n<p>PREREQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>\tBCOM Accounting or equivalent degree in finance related field.<br \/>\n\tPostgraduate Diploma in Accounting or equivalent in finance related field.<br \/>\n\tIdeal Requirements\u00a0: PHD in relevant field.<\/p>\n<p>EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<p>\tA minimum of 10 years\u2019 previous experience in a senior role in a Finance Department demonstrated excellence in the workplace, is essential.<br \/>\n\tA minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience at an executive level overseeing Facilities Management Services and ICT strategy, including digital transformation, infrastructure planning, cyber-security, and operational delivery within a complex or research-driven organisation.<br \/>\n\tAt least 5 years\u2019 experience in management \/ coordination and leadership of senior staff members is essential.<br \/>\n\tSignificant relevant industry knowledge and experience.<br \/>\n\tExperience in managing
