Manager: Data Management<\/p>\n
\tDesign and implement systems for conducting quality assurance and control on data collected through surveys and other data collection processes.
\n\tIn conjunction with our IT department as well as clients, identify and design data storage capability and data security protocols for large environmental and social projects.
\n\tAssist the environmental and social specialists to extract, report on and analyse data.
\n\tTrain environmental and social specialists and survey enumerators on the use of data collection tools applicable to projects.
\n\tDevelopment and maintenance of relational databases and other means of storing large datasets comprising various types of data (text, numeric, photographic, spatial, etc.).
\n\tIdentify, design, implement survey and other data collection processes on projects.
\n\tProvide environmental and social technical input on projects.
\n\tWorking in close collaboration with specialists from other disciplines.
\n\tProject managing and administrating projects, where required.
\n\tManage a team of data management professionals.
\n\tIntegrate data management solutions into the company increase efficiency.<\/p>\n
Team Management<\/p>\n
\tFacilitate the appropriate onboarding process for all new employees.
\n\tContribute to the performance management and probation processes for the team.
\n\tProvide mentorship to and development of the team.
\n\tReport on team\u2019s performance at various levels.
\n\tAssist with workload and resource management for the team.
\n\tEnsure that the team achieves revenue targets.<\/p>\n
Business Development<\/p>\n
\tIdentifying business opportunities and ensure that a client centric approach is always maintained.
\n\tIdentify leads and organize, plan and track proposals in response.
\n\tDevelop and maintain client relationships.
\n\tCo-ordinate and submit proposals.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tPost graduate degree in Environmental, Scientific, Engineering or Social Science fields.
\n\tCertificate or similar in data management \/ analytics.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tFive or more years\u2019 experience in the relevant field, preferably within the consulting environment would be beneficial.
\n\tExperience with database structures (geodatabase, MS Access, SQL) would be beneficial as well as proficiency in MS Excel.
\n\tExperience in Environmental modelling using data.
\n\tProject management experience.<\/p>\n
