Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPerform daily bookkeeping activities including recording financial transactions and maintaining the general ledger
\n\tProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner
\n\tReconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
\n\tAssist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
\n\tPrepare and file financial reports and statements
\n\tMaintain organized financial records and documentation
\n\tParticipate in audit preparations and provide necessary documentation
\n\tCollaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tAssociate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred)
\n\tCompleted SAIPA learnership, preferred\u00a0
\n\t2-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
\n\tProficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Evolution, or similar platforms)
\n\tStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
\n\tExcellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n\tAbility to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information
\n\tExcellent time management and organizational skills
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication abilities<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)
\n\tBasic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team
\n\tStrong ethical standards and integrity
\n\tWillingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
\n\tCapability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
\n\tAbility to work in a hybrid arrangement, balancing remote and in-office work<\/p>\n
