Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tA Doctorate in English\/Communication Science \/Linguistics or Applied Communication or Education specialising in English Language or Literature or related discipline.
\n\tA minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience teaching at tertiary level.
\n\tTrack record in research in associated fields in the preceding three years.
\n\tSuccessful supervision at Master\u2019s and\/or PhD levels.<\/p>\n
Additional Recommendations<\/p>\n
\tThe ability to use a wide range of computer applications.
\n\tExperience in the use of innovative teaching and learning technologies, including online teaching
\n\tEvidence of a research track record.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\tTeach and examine in the Programme English and Communication and some General Education modules as required.
\n\tDevelop materials, including for online learning.
\n\tContribute towards the Programme\u2019s research plan.
\n\tContribute towards the Programme\u2019s curriculum development project.
\n\tParticipate in agreed departmental\/faculty projects or committees.
\n\tUndertake duties as assigned by the Programme Co-ordinator\/HoD.<\/p>\n
