Main tasks<\/p>\n
\tAssist with policy development and analysis, policy management and implementation.
\n\tManage and monitor the provision of academic development support services by the section.
\n\tProvide leadership and manage performance and development of staff.
\n\tPromote and undertake research to improve teaching & learning and the curriculum.
\n\tDevelop, implement & manage a budget for the section, as well as the external funds for support of student & teaching development.
\n\tImplement output monitoring systems within the section
\n\tRepresent the Centre and University on various internal committees and external forums.
\n\tPrepare and provide reports.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualification\/ Knowledge and\/or Experience\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAppropriate Doctoral Degree.
\n\tFive (5) years\u2019 relevant experience in a leadership role, preferably in a higher education environment.
\n\tAcademic teaching experience with excellence in research and teaching.
\n\tAccredited scholarly publications.<\/p>\n
Desired Qualification, Knowledge and\/or Experience<\/p>\n
\tAppropriate Doctoral degree, preferably with professorship (full or associate).
\n\tEight (8) years\u2019 relevant experience in a leadership role, preferably in a higher education environment.
\n\tAcademic teaching experience with excellence in research and teaching.
\n\tAccredited scholarly publications.<\/p>\n
