\tMatric
\n\tAt least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
\n\tExperience in Microsoft office
\n\tAttention to detail and accuracy
\n\tAbility to manage a group of people
\n\tExcellent communication skills
\n\tExcellent knowledge of restaurant operations
\n\tPreferred: Applicants who have more than 3 years restaurant management experience
\n\tPreferred: Applicants who are in possession of a valid driver\u2019s license and their own vehicle.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure correct and effective financial administration according to Nando\u2019s policies & procedures daily.
\n\tTo assist in controlling expenditure and in achieving expected gross profit margins (stock control, waste management, pilferage, etc)
\n\tTo assist in taking corrective actions necessary to improve business performance indicators (Sales: Year on Year &; Actual vs. Budget; Gross Profit; Ticket Average; Customer Count; Menu mix; Day parts; Complaints; Labour Turnover; Payroll vs. Turnover) daily.
\n\tTo monitor performance against set daily targets (Turnover, Ticket Average; Customer Count).<\/p>\n
Operational Management<\/p>\n
\tTo ensure efficient stock control management for the restaurant daily.
\n\tTo perform daily compliance checks with regards to Health & Safety, Repairs; Maintenance, Cleaning & Hygiene, and escalate any problems to the Restaurant Manager.
\n\tTo assist in developing the corrective action plan and facilitating actions necessary to improve internal and external audit results.
\n\tTo communicate and ensure compliance with the Nando\u2019s operational standards and operating requirements.<\/p>\n
People Management<\/p>\n
\tTo assist in developing and monitoring rostering every week to ensure sufficient people capacity to meet the business requirements. To ensure adherence to opening and closing procedures.
\n\tTo assist with recruitment, induction and training of all new staff according to Nando\u2019s policies and procedures to proactively meet the needs of the business.
\n\tTo complete and check the attendance register.
\n\tTo assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring adherence to the disciplinary code.
\n\tTo escalate poor performance where necessary and provide continuous feedback to staff and Restaurant Manager.
\n\tTo assist in ensuring that all staff are signed off on the relevant training material and procedures on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n
Marketing Management<\/p>\n
\tTo assist with communication and execution of all national, regional and local marketing campaigns and initiatives.
\n\tTo respond to customer complaints by Nando\u2019s policies and procedures.
\n\tTo assist in developing the corrective action plan and facilitating actions necessary to improve the results of the mystery shopper report.
\n\tTo assist with the execution of the local marketing plan to promote sales and increase the customer base.
\n\tTo fulfil the responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager in his\/her absence.<\/p>\n
