Description<\/p>\n
Ensuring that the fleet and building is maintained and reliable at all times by:<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring that all outsourced work is quality checked prior to acceptance and payment is made
\n\tEnsuring that regular fleet inspections are conducted and coordinated with operations to conduct minor repairs
\n\tEnsuring that tyres are checked daily for: tread depth, matching tyre depth, mismatched tyres and tyre pressure, problems are to be rectified and reported daily to the General Manager, where required
\n\tEnsuring that all vehicles are serviced timeously, reporting any delays to the Branch Manager
\n\tEstablishing and maintaining a network of service providers for after hour\u2019s breakdown assistance
\n\tContinuous follow-up with service provider\/s until such time that the problem\/s (breakdown etc.) is resolved and the vehicle is fully operational
\n\tKeeping accurate records of all breakdown\/ repair costs, scrutinize all invoices for accuracy before signing off
\n\tEnsuring that the quality of the repairs carried out is of the highest standard and maintained at all time
\n\tMonitoring fuel consumption daily, weekly and monthly and following up on any deviations
\n\tEnsuring that all accident \/ incident damage is attended to immediately. Complete accident investigations and supply feedback reports
\n\tEnsuring Roadworthiness of all vehicles
\n\tEnsuring that correct licenses are displayed on applicable vehicle
\n\tMaintaining vehicle details on freightware
\n\tFocus on adherence, and where relevant making recommendations to all operational policies and procedures<\/p>\n
Co-ordinating all external contract work conducted on site by:<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring that all external contract work has been authorised
\n\tEnsuring that a minimum of three quotations is obtained from various suppliers
\n\tEnsuring that all external contractors are familiar and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety requirements whilst on site.<\/p>\n
Controlling of stock, and maintenance \/ repair of company equipment by:<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring that relevant stock levels for consumable items are maintained
\n\tConducting regular checks on all equipment used<\/p>\n
Ensuring that the image of the fleet is maintained by:<\/p>\n
\tManaging wash bay, fuel, and tyre repair staff on a daily basis including Saturdays
\n\tConducting daily inspections, ensuring that all vehicles are washed, fueled prior to departure for the following day
\n\tConducting regular checks on vehicle cabs
\n\tReporting through to the Branch Manager and National Operations Manager of fleet which required touching up or replaced as and when required.<\/p>\n
Managing of drivers and their documentation by:<\/p>\n
\tConducting regular checks in respect license and PDP requirements
\n\tEnsuring that the Driver Trainer assess all new drivers in respect of driving abilities before employment offers are made
\n\tConducting regular performance reviews on drivers and implement action plans on performance incapability<\/p>\n
Ensuring maintenance and repair of company equipment by:<\/p>\n
\tConducting regular checks on all equipment used
\n\tReporting any damages to equipment or required repairs
\n\tMonitoring the accurate reporting and record keeping of fuel issues and receipts
\n\tUndertaking fleet assets auditing, investigations and reporting on deviations from asset register.<\/p>\n
Manage staff and related documentation by:<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining driver details on Freightware
\n\tEnsuring that all drivers clock in\/out correctly
\n\tConducting driver interviews with regards to customer and public complaints
\n\tReporting of misconduct of relevant staff or inadequate performance of relevant staff to the Branch Manager
\n\tEnsuring the effective implementation of safety, health and environmental initiatives<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) minimum
\n\tMinimum 5 Years\u2019 experience in Fleet Management
\n\tExperience within transport industry
\n\tBasic mechanical understanding
\n\tGood administrative skills
\n\tBasic Fleet Management Program knowledge
\n\tTyre and Diesel Management
\n\tDiesel Management
\n\tComputer \u2013 Email and Excel intermediate
\n\tNumerical computation and analysis
\n\tGood time management
\n\tA valid unendorsed driver\u2019s license (code 10)
\n\tAbility to work unsociable hours
\n\tAbility to work under pressure and to meet set targets
\n\tAbility to communicate on all levels \u2013 both internally and externally
\n\tAbility to work unsupervised the majority of the time
\n\tReliable
