\tFormulation of the coherent and integrated Group strategy in alignment with all the relevant business units and together with executive management
\n\tManage and coordinate the strategic plans and strategic initiatives whilst ensuring the portfolio of strategic initiatives is accepted
\n\tReview key strategic priorities and translate them into actionable and tangible plans

\tEmbed strategic planning practice across the Group and Board
\n\tFacilitate and manage the annual strategic planning process across the Group
\n\tDrive the communication of the strategy and plan to the rest of the business
\n\tReviewing strategic objectives continuously
\n\tOversee benchmarking & scenario planning exercises for trend analysis (e.g. ANSTO, etc.)
\n\tManage the business planning and operational planning across the Group<\/p>\n
Performance Monitoring & Evaluation<\/p>\n
\tEnsure setting of the overall Group strategy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
\n\tTrack and monitor of the overall Group strategy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
\n\tOversee the execution of integrated planning, evaluation and reporting processes in order to ensure that strategic objectives are met
\n\tMonitor performance goals against KPIs in order to ensure that strategic objectives are met
\n\tMonitor the implementation of strategic initiatives across the group
\n\tIntegrate information for reporting on a monthly, quarterly and on an annual basis<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tCompile and review on a monthly basis, quarterly & annual reports to comply with statutory requirements \u2013 according to PFMA schedule
\n\tCompile reports (internal & external information) and make recommendations for business strategic choices
\n\tEnsure translation and alignment of the group strategy and corporate plan to the subsidiaries\u2019 corporate plan and operational plans.
\n\tReview market-facing entities\u2019 strategies, corporate plans, and business plans and integrating the aforementioned plans into one group strategy & one corporate plan.<\/p>\n
Strategic Risk<\/p>\n
\tAlign approved strategic initiatives to strategic objectives, and integrate risk mitigation associated with approved strategic objectives
\n\tProactively establish and manage healthy diverse stakeholder relations in pursuing achievement of organizational goals<\/p>\n
Business Process Improvement & Productivity<\/p>\n
\tAccountable for coordinating and driving the function of the Strategic Return to Service (SRTS) Plan across all four project pillars and the sub-projects contained
\n\tLead teams and workflow projects across broad technical, regulatory and business disciplines.
\n\tFocus teams on business objectives and track progress to ensure project milestones are completed on time, on budget and with the desired results.
\n\tMitigate risk factors through careful analysis of data.
\n\tAnticipate and manage change effectively in a complex business environment.
\n\tCore problem identification, resolution & business trend analysis<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for planning, compiling, managing and reconciling departmental budget, and justification for additional funding requests
\n\tResponsible for Budget and financial control for the department including income generation<\/p>\n
People Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee that employees receive training, thereby motivating and directing employees to optimize workplace productivity and promote professional growth
\n\tTrain, supervise and manage staff in project management environment incl. coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tDegree in business management or related (NQF 7)
\n\tMinimum 15 years\u2019 experience in corporate and business planning environment of which 5 years must be in a senior management role<\/p>\n
