Key Tasks & Accountabilities<\/p>\n
Compliance Program Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist Head of Compliance to develop, implement and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop review, and update comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and programs across all business units.
\n\tConduct compliance risk assessments to identify assess and mitigate enterprise-wide compliance vulnerabilities and regulatory changes.
\n\tExecute compliance monitoring and testing programs. Investigate potential non-compliance issues, collect evidence, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions. Report on findings to Head of Compliance and relevant stakeholders and escalate concerns as necessary.
\n\tMaintain expert-level knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization.
\n\tAssist Head of Compliance in preparing and presenting compliance reports to senior management, board committees, and regulatory bodies.<\/p>\n
Regulatory Relations and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tIn collaboration with the Head of Compliance, manage, oversee and prepare regulatory filings, submissions, and correspondence.
\n\tAssist Head of Compliance with strategic analysis of regulatory developments and assess enterprise-wide impact.
\n\tPreparation of responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions.<\/p>\n
Training and Advisory Services<\/p>\n
\tDevelop, design, and deliver enterprise-wide compliance training programs for all employees.
\n\tProvide strategic guidance and consultation to business units and senior leadership
\n\tAssist Head of Compliance with review and approval for new products, services, and business initiatives.
\n\tCollaboration with legal, risk management, and internal audit functions.
\n\tMentor and support junior compliance staff.<\/p>\n
Strategic Planning<\/p>\n
\tAssist Head of Compliance with development and implementing strategic compliance plans and policies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualification & Experience<\/p>\n
\tA bachelor\u2019s degree (NQF Level 7) in a relevant field like law, finance, business administration, or risk management
\n\tRE1
\n\tRelevant Compliance related courses or qualifications.
\n\tQualifications relevant to statutory requirements for registered compliance officers.
\n\tFSCA Approved Compliance Officer will be preferred
\n\tMinimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
\n\tAt least 3-5 years in a senior compliance role
\n\tDemonstrated experience working with regulatory agencies
\n\tProven track record of developing and implementing successful compliance programs
\n\tExperience in conducting compliance investigations and managing remediation efforts Experience in short term insurance industry preferred.<\/p>\n
