OBJECTIVE OF ROLE<\/p>\n
\tFocus on enhancing the knowledge and skills of nursing staff and HCPs through peer-to-peer discussions, educational programs, and ongoing support regarding intravenous iron therapy.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Peer Education and Support:<\/p>\n
\tFacilitate peer-to-peer discussions on IV iron therapy best practices.
\n\tProvide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff on IV iron administration techniques and patient management.<\/p>\n
Curriculum Development:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement educational programs and materials related to IV iron therapy.
\n\tCollaborate with nursing staff within the various wards of hospitals to provide training related to IV Iron.
\n\tTraining and Workshops:
\n\tConduct training sessions, workshops, and other team meetings for nursing staff on IV iron protocols, safety measures, and patient monitoring.
\n\tEvaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as needed.<\/p>\n
Resource Development:<\/p>\n
\tCreate and distribute educational resources, such as manuals, guidelines, and online modules, to enhance nursing knowledge of IV iron therapy.
\n\tMaintain an up-to-date repository of educational materials and best practices.<\/p>\n
Collaboration and Communication:<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with interdisciplinary teams to promote an understanding of Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anaemia.<\/p>\n
Stay Informed:<\/p>\n
\tKeep abreast of the latest research and developments in IV iron therapy and nursing education.
\n\tAttending relevant conferences and workshops to enhance personal knowledge and skills.
\n\tConduct activities in line with compliance and regulatory standards.
\n\tComplete the required number of trainings and activities as required per business and territory requirements<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tMatric
\n\tA nurse degree or diploma, and must be registered with the South African Nursing Council<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\t12 – 24 months of experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferable.
\n\tExperience in training and educating patients and peers is advantageous.
\n\tKnowledge of Iron IV products and administering IVs would be beneficial.<\/p>\n
\u00a0SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n

\n\tHave clear communication skills; both verbally and written
\n\tBe a forward thinker with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
\n\tMust have a strong work ethic and compliance mindset
\n\tHave good product knowledge and the ability to develop training material with the correct scientific messaging
\n\tDevelop and maintain a strong working relationship with customers and colleagues through excellent interpersonal skills
\n\tStrong priority setting capabilities, with the ability to use initiative, implement, and execute
\n\tAble to manage one\u2019s time effectively and meet all deadlines
\n\tMust have the ability to independently make decisions and effectively problem solve<\/p>\n
