\tDataOrbis is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accountant to join our Finance team on a fixed-term contract.
\n\tThis hybrid role offers the flexibility of both in-office work in Cape Town or Johannesburg, with work-from-home options.
\n\tAs an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate financial representation of DataOrbis companies.
\n\tWorking closely with the Group Financial Manager, you will be responsible for monthly financial duties, including processing journals, revenue reconciliations, and managing depreciation.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and present accurate monthly management accounts.
\n\tContribute to quarterly budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate sales, revenue, billing, and cost management.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate VAT calculations and submissions for South Africa and MENA regions.
\n\tManage annual audits, including preparation, engagement with auditors, and review of draft annual financial statements.
\n\tFulfill all income tax requirements and ensure tax compliance.
\n\tActively manage and forecast cash flow across all subsidiaries, highlighting and escalating potential shortfalls.
\n\tProvide oversight and guidance to the junior finance and administrative team.
\n\tEngage in project management initiatives related to financial processes and systems.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Your skills and experience include\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBCom or BBusSci post-graduate diploma\/Honors in Accounting is essential.
\n\tA professional qualification CA(SA)\/CIMA\/ACCA is preferable.
\n\tMinimum 3 \u2013 4 years\u2019 working experience within a financial role or a minimum of 3 years articles plus 1 year post articles experience.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge and understanding of IFRS principles and compliance.
\n\tAdvanced skills in MS Excel and proficiency in NetSuite\/SAGE\/MS Dynamics 365 ERPs would be a distinct advantage.
\n\tStrong analytical, problem-solving , and time management skills.
\n\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
