Implement business optimisation plans and initiatives:<\/p>\n
\tExecute Business Optimisation plans aimed at ensuring efficient Operations financial management and completeness of income
\n\tManage completeness of income across all technology systems (MMDS, OIS, ECert, TUR, ERP, TITAN 2.0\u00ae etc) and processes including business administration\u00a0
\n\tEnsure exception reports on TITAN 2.0 \u00ae integration with ERP system are resolved timeously
\n\tData ownership\/stewardship for Operations Masterdata \u2013 manage data integrity including business rules review, master tables administration and ensuring standardisation\u00a0
\n\tDeliver industry code standardisation in conjunction with the ICT department\u00a0<\/p>\n
Financial Management and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and submit annual budget for unit
\n\tEnsure that efficient financial management is imbedded in the unit, and that completeness of income is achieved at all times.
\n\tManage assets and service provider contracts of the business unit
\n\tCoordinate procurement\/supply chain management processes for the unit\u00a0
\n\tCollate information for organisational performance against key priority indicators from each division of the department\/unit into one document which will be shared with the Department of Agriculture
\n\tFinancial reports for costs saving results on Business Optimisation initiatives
\n\tException reporting status reports
\n\tWorkforce Requirements and Planning
\n\tReview, improve and strengthen internal controls in collaboration with Business Unit Managers to reduce irregular expenditure, audit findings and credit notes within Operations department\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stakeholder engagement<\/p>\n
\tAct as first point of contact between Operations and Support Services on project\/process\/ initiatives integration and provide solutions from an Operations point of view\u00a0
\n\tCoordinate project integration from rest of business on behalf of Operations
\n\tRegular collaboration with key internal stakeholders such as Business Process Owners and Project work stream owners in Support and Operations\u00a0
\n\tCollaborate with stakeholders (particularly customers and Stakeholder Manager) to retain their confidence in the PPECB by developing quick response times and resolutions to queries that instil and maintain excellence in service delivery.\u00a0
\n\tResponsible for Operations aspect of PPECB Support model and liaising with ICT Application Support to resolve issues<\/p>\n
People Management<\/p>\n
\tProvide effective leadership and management of direct reports in line with PPECB Values to ensure successful implementation of business optimisation plans and projects in respect of performance, cost, productivity, and planning
\n\tWorkforce analysis and planning<\/p>\n
Analyse workforce trends and requirements<\/p>\n
\tDevelop forecasts and plans for resource requirements and capabilities for Operations service delivery needs; assign resources (action); monitor; report on workforce planning
\n\tCoordinate workforce planning including budgets, seasonal reviews, resource requirements and relief duty to meet cross functional operational delivery requirements
\n\tConduct relief duty planning for Operations and oversee workforce planning in regions in collaboration with Regional Operations Managers\u00a0
\n\tManage weekly relief duty movement of inspectors and assessors between regions<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\t\u00a0Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma) in business science is essential
\n\tA relevant post-graduate qualification in business process improvement or business administration would be advantageous
\n\tA minimum of 8 years\u2019 experience in operational management in a regulatory environment is essential.\u00a0
\n\t5-8 years relevant experience in the perishable produce export industry including team management experience.
\n\t2- 3 years\u2019 experience in project management and change management\u00a0
\n\t2-3 years\u2019 experience in cross functional business process improvement
\n\tExperience in and or knowledge of process analyses and optimisation within a regulatory environment would be advantages\u00a0<\/p>\n
