\tEstablish and maintain a comprehensive risk governance framework in line with Access Bank\u2019s policies.
\n\tAdvise senior leadership on risk governance standards, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
\n\tLead governance initiatives that improve the bank\u2019s risk oversight and compliance culture.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Documentation:<\/p>\n
\tOversee the preparation of accurate and timely regulatory reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
\n\tEnsure comprehensive documentation of all risk-related activities, including compliance, audit findings, and risk assessments.
\n\tDevelop metrics and reporting dashboards for effective monitoring of regulatory compliance and governance issues.<\/p>\n
Policy and Framework Development:<\/p>\n
\tDesign and update policies related to regulatory risk, governance, and reporting requirements.
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align risk management practices with business strategies.
\n\tLead initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of risk management policies and frameworks.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management:<\/p>\n
\tAct as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
\n\tCommunicate complex regulatory and governance requirements to senior management and other relevant parties.
\n\tEducate business units on regulatory requirements, governance practices, and reporting standards.<\/p>\n
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:<\/p>\n
\tConduct risk assessments to identify potential regulatory and compliance risks.
\n\tImplement mitigation strategies and ensure corrective actions for identified risk areas.
\n\tMonitor changes in the regulatory landscape and adjust risk management practices accordingly.<\/p>\n
Requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Academic Knowledge:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
\n\tMaster\u2019s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CRMA, CISA) is advantageous.<\/p>\n
Work Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, or governance, preferably in the financial services or banking sector.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of South African regulatory requirements, risk governance practices, and reporting standards.<\/p>\n
