Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:<\/p>\n
\tRelevant NQF Level 7 qualification related to Metallurgical Engineering\/Chemical Engineering (Advantageous)
\n\t10 years PGM plant experience, of which five (5) years must be in a supervisory role (shift foreman).
\n\tControl room experience
\n\tMust reside within the Mokopane area or be willing to relocate
\n\tValid South African Driving License.<\/p>\n
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProven plant operational experience in PGM plant crushing, grinding, flotation, and filtration.
\n\tDiagnostic skills, including but not limited to root cause analysis, trend analysis, and problem solving.
\n\tTeam leading and supervisory skills.
\n\tValid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
\n\tComputer literate with Scada, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet<\/p>\n
Your successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCommissioning of the Platreef Concentrator.
\n\tProviding strong leadership by planning, organising, and controlling all activities in the plant
\n\tManage production teams executing daily operational activities and ensuring adherence to SHE and OHS principles.
\n\tPerforming standby duties
\n\tMonitoring production recovery and quality of the final product produced daily, and performing necessary changes
\n\tImplement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
\n\tEnsure production targets are achieved.
\n\tPlan and execute plant metallurgical equipment maintenance.
\n\tAssist management in identifying the gaps in the current plant procedures and operating processes.
\n\tEnsuring production targets are communicated to personnel and plans are in place to meet set targets.
\n\tEnsure all works are carried out in line with approved SOPs
\n\tConduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks\/briefings
\n\tEnsure site personnel have job-relevant training requirements
\n\tEnsure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and standards.
\n\tProvide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for members, fostering a high-performance and accountability culture.
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, maintenance, technical department, and safety, to drive process efficiencies and to resolve production issues.
\n\tApply the Ivanplats principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for your safety and that of others to ensure zero harm and the elimination of fatalities and loss-time injuries in accordance with the Ivanplats Standards and Mine Health and Safety Act.<\/p>\n
