Duties and Responsibilities:
\nFinancial Assistance and Bursary Management<\/p>\n
\tReview of bursary\/ financial assistance applications against list of supporting documentation required.
\n\tConclusion on whether application can be approved or rejected in terms of info provided and criteria.
\n\tEngagement with external funding suppliers as and when required for approved applicants who require funding. Including issuing of invoices, payment tracking and submitting commission payment requests to payments team.
\n\tManagement of communication and confirmation of acceptance with applicants.
\n\tTracking of status of applications
\n\tManagement of bursaries with automatic rollover.
\n\tManagement of SETA Bursaries.
\n\tCommunication and reporting to campuses on applications, approvals, tracking and status of applications weekly\/ monthly\/ as required.<\/p>\n
Cashbook and Debit Orders<\/p>\n
\tAccurately processing of daily bank statements and escalation of all unknown payments to the bank for resolution. Accurately processing of unallocated payments to student accounts.
\n\tAccurately processing of weekly banking from the cash office (Credit\/Debit card payments)
\n\tAccurate processing of legal payments on pre-legal accounts (active\/bad debt write off’s).
\n\tIdentifying payments for other campuses, processing of required journal and escalating to Line Manager approval and posting (NSCC and HF where required)
\n\tPreparation of payment batches in D365 for Line Manager approval and posting (NSCC and HF where required)
\n\tProcessing of debit orders on the Absa banking system and or D365 (H2H) (1st \/15th\/ 25th ) of each month.
\n\tEnsure all debit orders returned unpaid from the bank are dealt with immediately by credit controller team and NSCCs<\/p>\n
Registration<\/p>\n
\tTimely receipting of daily cashbooks and unallocated payments
\n\tPreparation of pro-forma invoices and receipting of app and pre-regs fees in SIMS where due to EFT payments\/ payments made outside of the application portal.
\n\tBatch submission and processing of AVS checks during registration.
\n\tProcessing of pre-reg fees to student accounts once enrolled.
\n\tProcessing of accepted and approved bursaries and concessions
\n\tBursary reconciliation SIMS to D365 post registration.<\/p>\n
Quality Management, Projects and Reporting<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all trackers related to department administration is maintained and updated
\n\tMaintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders regarding payment allocations and bursaries\/concessions statuses
\n\tEnsure all comms are reviewed and approved before sending
\n\tAssistance with collating and consolidating information for reports and confirming the accuracy thereof
\n\tAssistance with projects and other requirements related to the role and for the benefit of business
\n\tAssistance with training and upskilling business and peers.<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualification Requirements:<\/p>\n

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 3-5 experience within a finance role.<\/p>\n
