Job Description<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Draughtsman to join our team of engineers and designers in Alberton.
\n\tThis role suits an independent, technically skilled professional with a strong grasp of manufacturing principles and a drive for high drawing standards.
\n\tThe Draughtsman will serve as the custodian of all technical drawings, responsible for creation, accuracy, revision control and the drawing system.
\n\tThis candidate must have strong draughting skills, proficiency in technical documentation and knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably machining and fabrication.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDrawing System Ownership \u2013 Maintain and control all technical drawings, ensuring accuracy, clarity and compliance with standards.
\n\tEngineering Change Order (ECO) Management \u2013 Review changes technically, manage revisions and ensure traceability.
\n\tRFQ Technical Support \u2013 Review drawings, material specs, heat treatment and dimensions to ensure costing inputs are complete and manufacturable<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t5+ years\u2019 experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
\n\tDraughting Certificate or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
\n\tStrong understanding of drawing standards – ISO, GD&T etc.
\n\tProven experience with drawing control and revision management
\n\tHands-on, technically accurate and quality-focused
\n\tAble to model 3D components from customer samples when required (CAD experience)
\n\tResides near Alberton or within a reasonable distance<\/p>\n
