Key Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tRecord; prioritize; track and coordinate operational activities within the active networks team until resolution.
\n\tEnsure SLA compliance from the active network team to internal and external customers.
\n\tProvide 2nd level technical support for network related issues that are directed at the Active
\n\tNetworks team and allocate the appropriate resources from the team if 3rd level technical support is required.
\n\tPerform daily health checks across the active network in relation to performance, availability and capacity and reporting thereof.
\n\tRecord and manage any actions required to improve performance, availability and capacity.
\n\tEnsure delivery of actions related to problems and risks for which the active networks team is responsible for resolving.
\n\tDaily check-ins with the network operations team regarding incident and change management
\n\tactivities to ensure prompt resolution; identify post change issues and ensure system updates in-line with changes made.
\n\tProactively identify potential incidents that the NOC may not have visibility to and coordinate resolution of them with the NOC and active networks team.
\n\tQuality assurance and operational handover for all projects.
\n\tManage vendor performance and escalations based on contractual obligations in conjunction with the NOC manager.
\n\tEnsure compliance with network policies and standards.
\n\tUpskill the network operations team to reduce the number of operational activities required by the active networks team.
\n\tDefine the operational handover from active networks to network operations and ensure compliance.
\n\tIdentify opportunities for automation to streamline operational functions.
\n\tIdentify and resolve data quality challenges for which the active networks team is responsible.
\n\tMaintain compliance with standard operating processes for all interactions with the active networks team.
\n\tCreate and maintain a knowledge base to empower business and customers.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent certifications in 1 or more of the following:<\/p>\n
\tComputer Science
\n\tInformation Technology
\n\tNetwork Engineering
\n\tTelecommunications
\n\tElectrical\/Electronic Engineering
\n\tMinimum CCNP or HCNP
\n\tAdditional Preferred Qualifications
\n\tScripting\/Automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
\n\tKnowledge of VoIP (SIP, QoS)
\n\tExperience with DevOps\/SRE practices<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\t4 \u2013 5 years of experience in a network operations environment.
\n\t4 \u2013 5 years hands on experience in a network engineering role.
\n\tAdvanced experience with people management.<\/p>\n
