\nPURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for an energetic Accountant to lead our Stores Banking team.
\n\tIf you have a passion for enhancing end-to-end processes, analysing data to provide meaningful insights, and growing a team, then this is your role.\u00a0
\n\tIn this role, you will work closely with our Sales team to identify and resolve potential fraud.
\n\tYou will also have the opportunity to hone your skills in monthly reporting and budgeting.\u00a0<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tLeading and growing the Stores Banking team
\n\tResponsible for identifying and communicating potential losses to the Risk team for further investigation.
\n\tBudgeting and monthly accounting
\n\tMonthly variance reporting for bank fees and Insurance
\n\tOverall responsibility for the management of Insurance claims
\n\tRelationship management with banks and third-party providers
\n\tResponsible for process enhancement and increased efficiencies (system and IT process)
\n\tAd hoc tasks<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nJOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tB. Com or related qualification (with Accounting Major)
\n\t3 – 5 years of experience in a financial position
\n\tUnderstanding of Stores banking processes
\n\tRetail experience will be an advantage
\n\tManagement experience and skills will be an advantage
\n\tComputer literacy: Google Suite (Advanced Google Sheets)
\n\tUnderstanding of financial accounting
\n\tNumerical reasoning ability
\n\tUnderstand banking laws (e.g. Interchange legislation; POPi)
\n\tAwareness of the impact of decisions made
\n\tAbility to implement new systems and processes
\n\tSAP experience will be an advantage
\n\tCompetencies: Devotion to quality, Result oriented, Structuring, Integrity, Drive, Organisational sensitivity, Team building, Analysing and forming opinions<\/p>\n
