Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the successful incumbent will be required to provide professional and excellent customer service and is expected to support and assist with the front office operational requirements and all related areas as required and to maintain the exceptional customer service standards expected in accordance with Marriott International and Westin Brand Policies and Procedures.<\/p>\n
Required Experience & Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tAppropriate Tertiary Hospitality qualification
\n\tMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar position within a 5-star environment
\n\tGood leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\tProfessional Disposition\u00a0
\n\tStrong planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines
\n\tEffective problem solving, decision making and conflict management skills\u00a0
\n\tAbility to work within a pressurized environment
\n\tAbility to use Initiative and be proactive and self-driven
\n\tExperience in IR management and disciplinary processes
\n\tAbility to work without supervision and within a team
\n\tAttention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility
\n\tMaintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per company standards
\n\tExtensive working knowledge in MS Office in all MS office applications as well as OPERA<\/p>\n
Key Areas of Responsibility<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the highest standards of service in the Front Office departments are maintained and developed at all times
\n\tEffectively co-ordinate and organise the operations of the Front Office department
\n\tProvide support and guidance to all Front Office departments to ensure efficiency throughout\u00a0
\n\tAchieve hygiene, health and safety standard requirements\u00a0
\n\tInterviewing, screening and hiring of new employees
\n\tAppraising performance; recognition and discipline.
\n\tCo-ordinate training programmes and skills enhancement initiatives for Front Office staff in guest service, safety, hygiene, etc.
\n\tAddress and resolve both guest and staff concerns.
\n\tMaintain a safe work environment by ensuring high standards of repair, hygiene and safety.
\n\tGuest interaction regarding special requests<\/p>\n
Supporting Management of Front Desk Team\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tUtilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial\/business decision making; demonstrates honesty\/integrity; leads by example.
\n\tEncourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
\n\tSupervises and manages employees. Managing all day-to-day operations. Understanding employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees’ absence.
\n\tEnsures employee recognition is taking place on all shifts.
\n\tEstablishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees
\n\t\u00a0<\/p>\n
