Primary duties will include:<\/p>\n
\tEfficiently and effectively create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and programmes to ensure that project requirements are met.
\n\tConduct schedule quality analysis to ensure compliance with good scheduling practices
\n\tAdvise the project management team on how to plan more efficiently and effectively and forecast the sequence of works on site taking cognizance of the project specific requirements.
\n\tEvaluate and assist the site team with programme change management, inter alia, scope changes, additional work orders and other projects elements.
\n\tLiaise with managers, quantity surveyors and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise.
\n\tProvide and\/or assist with accurate detailed programme updates to ensure the project team, management and the client is informed of the current project performance status.
\n\tAssist with finding solutions to potential conflicting deliverables\/activities on a project that will enable effective scheduling.
\n\tAssist, advise and train site management team with programming software and principles and the value-add to project management.
\n\tEstablish clear priorities; schedules activities to ensure optimum use of time and resources; monitors performance against objectives.
\n\tMake rational, realistic, and sound decisions based on consideration of all the facts and alternatives available.
\n\tProvide schedule input to the procurement bid process.
\n\tProduce resource histograms and S-curve graphs.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 10 Years\u2019 experience working on and managing construction sites.
\n\tMust be skilled in the use of industry accepted scheduling software Microsoft Project, CCS Site Plan and Primavera P6, along with the standard Microsoft applications.
\n\tRegistration with Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or Project Management Professional will be an added advantage.
\n\tStrong working knowledge of civil, architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical discipline and the capacity to understand unique project requirements.
\n\tTechnical overview of work methods and techniques.
\n\tKnowledge of the estimating and tendering processes.
\n\tKnowledgeable about financial and commercial matters including NEC, GCC and FIDIC.<\/p>\n
