\tMaintaining SHEQ standards and procedures with regards to drilling and Contractors.
\n\tMonitoring SHEQ by means of site visits and weekly SHEQ meetings.
\n\tOverseeing performance of Contractors
\n\tDaily feedback sessions with contractors, monitoring of procedures and drilling progress.
\n\tConducting formal audits of drill contractors ensuring compliance to PC procedures and quality standards and Industry best practice.
\n\tPlanning, executing and designing drilling schedules.
\n\tEnsuring contractor stay within schedule by means of daily contractor meetings and site inspections, planning and coordinating future projects.
\n\tPreparing reports on development performance indicators for daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
\n\tProcessing analysis and management:
\n\tData Capturing, analysing and interpretation of drilling data to report on drilling progress and performance.
\n\tCompliance to monthly and weekly planning schedules.
\n\tPercentage scheduled work, scheduled vs. unscheduled work completed, analysis of non-productive work.
\n\tOptimizing equipment maintenance and utilization by means of inspections and feedback sessions, coordinating the movement of contractors and drilling equipment from site to site as well as within Mining Operations, liaison with mine and project personnel, coordinating site preparation and rehabilitation.
\n\tCost controlling and budgeting.
\n\tEnsuring drilling costs stay within allocated budget, by means of data interpretation and drilling monitoring.
\n\tLiaising with internal or external resources to resolve drilling issues.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification in Geology or Mining Engineering.
\n\tPost-graduate qualification (Advantageous)
\n\tKnowledge of drilling processes and how drilling machines operate will be advantageous.
\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in leadership role.
\n\tPrevious experience in management of contractors.
\n\tRaise bore or related drilling experience advantageous.
\n\tExperience in exploration or \/mine expansion drilling advantageous.
\n\tProficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
\n\tUnderstanding and applying the Total Project Controls Management processes, through experience and expertise to all aspects of cost and schedule of a project.<\/p>\n
