\tForvis Mazars is looking for a Junior Consultant to join their Corporate Governance & Consluting team, as a Junior consultant you will support the delivery of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) services to clients across various industries.
\n\tYou will assist in evaluating and improving corporate governance frameworks, policies, and practices, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nImplementation and Project Support<\/p>\n
\tAssist in the preparation of Governance reports under supervision.
\n\tSupport project planning and coordination tasks.
\n\tAttend and take minutes in client meetings; assist in preparing presentation materials.
\n\tHelp ensure client compliance with regulatory requirements through research and documentation.
\n\tMaintain organized records of client deliverables and correspondence.
\n\tProvide administrative and logistical support to project teams.<\/p>\n
Innovation and Research<\/p>\n
\tConduct basic research on governance-related topics.
\n\tShare findings and best practices with the team.
\n\tStay updated on relevant governance regulations and frameworks (e.g., King IV, PFMA).
\n\tContribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.<\/p>\n
Business Development Support<\/p>\n
\tAssist in preparing proposals and presentations for potential clients.
\n\tHelp coordinate networking events and maintain contact databases.
\n\tParticipate in internal brainstorming sessions for new business opportunities.<\/p>\n
Client Engagement<\/p>\n
\tSupport the team in building and maintaining professional client relationships.
\n\tAttend client meetings and networking events as an observer or junior representative.
\n\tEnsure timely and professional communication with clients.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\t0\u20132 years of experience in Governance, Compliance, or related fields.
\n\tExposure to consulting or client-facing environments is advantageous.
\n\tBCom degree in Company Secretarial and Governance Practice or related field.
\n\tProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
\n\tBasic understanding of risk management principles and frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO).
\n\tBasic understanding of governance frameworks and legislation (e.g., Basel III, King IV, Companies Act, FSCA guidelines).
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills.
\n\tAttention to detail and eagerness to learn.<\/p>\n
