\tBCom degree in Accounting or equivalent<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 3 years’ experience in managing a finance team of similar size
\n\tProven leadership and people management skills
\n\tStrong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial systems
\n\tSolid understanding of financial controls, policies, and processes
\n\tHigh attention to detail and excellent organizational skills<\/p>\n
Roles and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Debtors Management:<\/p>\n
\tOversee invoicing, credit notes, and collections
\n\tMaintain debtor arrangements and franchisee loans
\n\tRegular debtors ageing review and reporting
\n\tManage onboarding and changes to debtor accounts
\n\tOversee debit order process
\n\tMonthly management reporting on debtors<\/p>\n
Creditors Management:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure proper invoice processing, authorisation, and reconciliation
\n\tReview COD payments and supplier BEE documentation
\n\tManage supplier onboarding and account maintenance
\n\tApprove reconciliations and resolve payment queries<\/p>\n
Operational Expenses (Travel, Credit Cards, Claims):<\/p>\n
\tEnsure timely submission, approval, and allocation of all transactions
\n\tReview international travel reconciliations (TOOFs)
\n\tMonitor ‘unbudgeted’ expenses and ensure timely resolution
\n\tReview balance sheet reconciliations related to ops expenses<\/p>\n
Turnover Declarations & Franchise Fees:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure timely and accurate processing of declarations
\n\tReview concession schedules and franchise fee invoicing
\n\tOversee debit orders and franchisee instructions
\n\tValidate store turnover data by region and brand<\/p>\n
Cash Book & Bank Reconciliations:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure timely processing of cash book entries
\n\tPerform and review monthly bank reconciliations
\n\tResolve reconciling items promptly<\/p>\n
Fixed Assets Management:<\/p>\n
\tOversee asset additions, depreciation, and accurate reporting
\n\tReview fixed asset register and related expenses
\n\tValidate capitalisation vs expense treatment<\/p>\n
Governance, Systems, and Control:<\/p>\n
\tImplement audit recommendations
\n\tIdentify process risks and mitigate them
\n\tReview and prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations<\/p>\n
Leadership & Line Management:<\/p>\n
\tBuild, lead, and mentor the finance operations team
\n\tDevelop and implement process improvements
\n\tPrepare personal development plans for direct reports
\n\tHandle conflict, adapt to change, and make sound decisions<\/p>\n
Routine & Ad Hoc Tasks:<\/p>\n
\tAuthorise online banking payments
\n\tRespond to ad hoc finance requests from Group Financial Manager<\/p>\n
