MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
SALES<\/p>\n
\tEnsure sales and GP targets are met.
\n\tSell stock to customers.
\n\tSource stock internally to complete customer orders.
\n\tMaintain a clean back-order report
\n\tFollow up on back orders to ensure client obtains their stock timeously.
\n\tArrange timeous delivery of products with internal or external transport providers.
\n\tSource sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, telesales, outbound cold calls, and emails.
\n\tManage and maintain pricing in line with the company pricing requirements.
\n\tAnalyse customers\u2019 sales history on system and identify sales opportunities.
\n\tGrow existing customer- and new customer base.<\/p>\n
CUSTOMER SERVICE<\/p>\n
\tAlways maintain a high level of customer service standards with internal and external customers.
\n\tEnsure accurate and timeous communication with Internal customers (Debtors, Procurement, other branches)
\n\tResolve customer queries timeously
\n\tProvide daily feedback to customers on back orders and out-of-stocks.
\n\tCommunication of customer credits to operations to ensure timeous collection.
\n\tCommunicate to customers as required.
\n\tPricelists

\n\tPromotional stock
\n\tGeneral notifications<\/p>\n
ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING<\/p>\n
\tPrepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices timeously and accurately.
\n\tEnsure the efficient and timeous processing of customer orders.
\n\tAdvising stock availability to customers.
\n\tArranging stock from other branches \/ procurement if insufficient stock is available.
\n\tCommunicate pipeline orders or \u201cout of the ordinary\u201d purchases to Branch Manager and Procurement.
\n\tEnsure accurate payment is received from COD customers as per COD procedure before stock is released.
\n\tFacilitate credit card\/EFT or cash payments.
\n\tEnsure data systems are accurate and always updated.
\n\tEnsure customer information is accurate on system.
\n\tReview credit limits and request payments as required, ensuring continuous communication to Debtors department.\u00a0
\n\tObtain Credit applications.
\n\tAssist with any other sales related tasks as required by the Office Supervisor or Branch Manager.<\/p>\n
SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to the OHS Act.
\n\tTake reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
\n\tCo-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
\n\tCarry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
\n\tReport any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
\n\tReport any incident to the employer.
\n\tComply with health and safety processes.
\n\tParticipate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.
\n\tIdentify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
\n\tEnsure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
\n\tAlways maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.
\n\tEnsure the Sales Department maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 with at least 1 or 2 additional short course certifications.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t1 years\u2019 experience in a similar position.
\n\t3 years\u2019 experience in a sales environment<\/p>\n
