Key responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and create original and unique content to Drum daily
\n\tAttending events on behalf of the brand
\n\tDrawing up and managing news and production lists as requested
\n\tWorking with CMS
\n\tContributing to other digital platforms, such as newsletters and podcasts
\n\tAdhere to Drum\u2019s standards of quality, style and content
\n\tComply with the requirements of the South African Press Code
\n\tSecure relevant newsmakers for in-depth interviews on topical issues.
\n\tShoot videos and take photographs for the site and its social media accounts<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0Applicants need the following qualifications, experience, skills and characteristics:<\/p>\n
\tA diploma or degree in journalism, languages or media studies;
\n\tAt least three years\u2019 experience in a related professional environment;
\n\tDemonstrable network of contacts;
\n\tExperience of CMS is advantageous;
\n\tGood general knowledge;
\n\tExcellent writing skills in English;
\n\tUnderstand how to use social media; across different platforms
\n\tKnowledge of the publication\u2019s target market and readership;
\n\tKnowledge of current events;
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license;
\n\tCompetency in relevant computer software products
\n\tPassion for the media;
\n\tGood peoples\u2019 skills;
\n\tSound decision-making abilities;
\n\tPerseverance and results-driven focus;
\n\tInquisitive mind and good listening skills;
\n\tAbility to work independently;
\n\tDrive and stamina;
\n\tThe ability to work under intense pressure and meet strict daily deadlines;
