Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tThe Accountant will ensure smooth operation of the creditors department, maintain accurate records of supplier and employee payments, and serve as liaison between the Accounts Payable department and external parties. The role involves overseeing operating expenses up to trial balance, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, assisting with reconciliations and monthly reports, and supporting AP team development.<\/p>\n
Requirements:
\nEducation & Experience<\/p>\n
\tB-Comm or similar accounting degree
\n\t5 to 10 years\u2019 experience in accounts
\n\tAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills
\n\tExperience with SAP Business One<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:
\nCreditors (Local and Foreign)<\/p>\n
\tManage onboarding and maintenance of supplier accounts
\n\tOversee GVR PO listings daily as per KPI targets
\n\tApprove SAP invoices ensuring compliance with VAT\/tax and internal authorization
\n\tResolve discrepancies in pricing, quantity, or receipting
\n\tApprove expense reports and tax invoice gains\/losses
\n\tMonitor age analysis to ensure compliance with KPI
\n\tHandle supplier queries and escalate when needed
\n\tEnsure timely capturing of all invoices before month-end
\n\tReview AP reconciliations before submission for payment
\n\tAnalyze AP data for process improvement
\n\tApprove foreign creditor payments and intercompany invoices\/credits
\n\tSupport the audit process and ensure documentation is available
\n\tMaintain up-to-date filing and regulatory compliance
\n\tGenerate ad hoc reports as needed
\n\tReview export documentation submitted to the bank<\/p>\n
Creditors (CMT)<\/p>\n
\tManage CMT creditor\/debtor accounts ensuring correct payments
\n\tVector \/ Customs Clearing Accounts
\n\tEnsure age analysis compliance with company KPIs
\n\tExport Documentation for Export Sales
\n\tVerify receipt of all required export documentation<\/p>\n
Accounting<\/p>\n
\tSupport accurate month-end reporting and meetings with HODs
\n\tAssist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
\n\tReview\/reconcile balance sheet accounts
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams for financial insights
\n\tManage SARS APN applications and audits<\/p>\n
Reporting and Meetings<\/p>\n
\tWeekly reports: GRV PO, CMT, IOE
\n\tMonthly reports: Ageing, Export documentation status, Reconciliations<\/p>\n
