Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in law, Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, and\/or related field.
\n\tPostgraduate qualification or CA(SA)
\n\tCompliance certification (e.g., CISA) or membership with IRMSA.<\/p>\n
Minimum\u00a0advanced skills and knowledge in:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5 – 10 years\u2019 experience in compliance and\/or risk management roles with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory framework.
\n\t5- 10 + years\u2019 experience in compliance and\/or enterprise risk management within a multinational environment.
\n\tExperience in the mining industry or a similar operationally complex environment \/ heavily regulated industry is advantageous.
\n\tProven track record in developing and implementing compliance and risk frameworks.
\n\tKnowledge and\/or experience of the requirements under ISO 37301 compliance management systems
\n\tKnowledge and experience of compliance management software \/ technology and tools.
\n\tExperience with data protection mechanisms and compliance reporting.
\n\tProficient in developing metrics for compliance performance assessment.<\/p>\n
Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Process:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDevelop, implement and maintain group wide compliance policies, procedures and processes in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and generally accepted compliance practices.
\n\tEstablish, implement and maintain compliance monitoring programmes and risk management plans across all jurisdictions and Group business units.
\n\tDesign and maintain a regulatory universe and compliance framework aligned to the Group risk management framework.
\n\tConduct on an ongoing basis compliance and risk assessments across business units and departments (Finance, Legal, Mining, Projects, HR, etc.) to identify any compliance gaps and assess control effectiveness.
\n\tManage and\/or conduct internal investigations, implement action plans, and follow-up on compliance and risk-related issues.
\n\tInvestigate and resolve compliance issues, reporting findings and recommendations to senior management
\n\tEnsure proper documentation of compliance monitoring and implementation across Group business divisions
\n\tMonitor and report on key risk indicators and control effectiveness.
\n\tAnalyze operational incidents, assess root causes, and report on risk trends and mitigation measures.
\n\tEngage in regulatory tracking, compliance training, and stakeholder communications.
\n\tMonitor any changes in applicable laws, regulations and generally accepted compliance standards, adapt\/modify risk and compliance policies accordingly to ensure that documentation is current and accessible.
\n\tUtilize data analytics to conduct deep dives and identify inefficiencies and arbitrage opportunities.
\n\tProvide guidance and training to Group officers and employees on compliance requirements and ethical practices
\n\tPromote awareness and training of compliance and risk management best practices.
\n\tCollaborate with legal, company secretarial, risk management, and operational teams to ensure alignment of compliance efforts with Group objectives and goals.
\n\tAdminister and monitor internal assessments and insurance risk recommendations.
\n\tWhere appropriate, act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, overseeing the organization\u2019s compliance with external audits and reviews ensuring timely and accurate reporting and responding to inquiries.<\/p>\n
