PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tTo provide support to the Communications Manager in aligning all internal communication with the company’s business strategy, enhancing the employee experience, and promoting the Sikhula KunYe culture.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tEvent planning and coordinating – monthly info sessions, convention, office events, special events
\n\tCoordinate internal communications – including newsletters, company mailers, presentations, Intranet
\n\tCoordinating Corporate Social Investment – programme & activities, reporting
\n\tMedia support – Intranet, Archive, Radio station support, external communication support
\n\tAdministration\/Adhoc tasks
\n\tManaging the Reception team<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nREQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
\tPR \/ Communication\/ Journalism Diploma or Degree, or studying towards the qualification
\n\t3 – 5 years experience with PR \/ communication exposure
\n\tCorporate work experience will be an advantage
\n\tRetail experience will be an advantage
\n\tExperience with digital designing
\n\tExperience working with external newsletter agencies
\n\tPhotographic experience will be an advantage
\n\tEvent Management experience will be an advantage
\n\tWebsite management will be an advantage
\n\tExperience in leading a small team will be an advantage
\n\tCreativity – Aptitude for visual elements;
\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills
\n\tFinancial aptitude
\n\tComputer literacy – Google Workspace (Intermediate)
\n\tStrong written communication ability and Presentation Skills
\n\tEditing skills – eg. Photoshop skills, such as image editing \/ Adobe Suite
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of video editing
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of PR (including writing; editing; compiling articles, etc.)
\n\tCopywriting & editing skills with a high attention to detail, great grammar & spelling
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of digital channels
\n\tFast learner, Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
\n\tKnowledge of sound, streaming and audio visual technology
\n\tCreative with an ability to create unique Dynamo experiences that might include digital channels
\n\tLicence & own transport required
\n\tKnowledge and ability to support team of receptionists, delegate tasks, problem-solving, and a keen understanding of customer service principles
