MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WAREHOUSE CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tStrategically control the warehouse in conjunction with the company\u2019s policies and strategic objectives.
\n\tControl receiving, picking, packing and distribution processes effectively.
\n\tControl day-to-day operations of the warehouse to achieve Departmental objectives and targets.
\n\tCost management of all warehouse activities.
\n\tIdentify opportunities to reduce warehouse costs and implement processes to achieve these savings, in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
\n\tEmployee relations management of warehouse employees.
\n\tMaintain effective working relationship with sales teams in terms of job scheduling and resource management to ensure satisfactory service to clients.
\n\tResponsible to inspect stacking and storage practices in the warehouse in line with the General Safety Regulations (Annexure A)
\n\tAssist in another position if there is an operational constraint.
\n\tAssist with driving responsibilities, including driving a company vehicle, if hold a valid driver\u2019s license.
\n\tComply with all traffic laws and follow safe driving practices while operating a company vehicle.
\n\tLoading and unloading deliveries.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of deliveries and ensure all relevant paperwork is signed and returned.
\n\tProvide excellent customer service.
\n\tManage temporary labourers\u2019 costs and staffing, within company guidelines.<\/p>\n
STOCK CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adequate staffing requirements in the warehouse.
\n\tEnsure stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
\n\tStock reflecting on SAGE must be in saleable condition.
\n\tManagement of all non-stock items (in-and out).
\n\tOversee, complete, and ensure stock takes are conducted and system deviations are inspected, as required.
\n\tEnsure that all stock is correctly and neatly located, binned, and maintaining a tidy display of the products.
\n\tEnsure all stock discrepancies are investigated accordingly.
\n\tControl and minimize scrap and ensure authorisation before any items are scrapped.
\n\tEnsure silicone is discarded according to environmental legislation.
\n\tEnsure Touch up spray is discarded according to environmental legislation.
\n\tSetup warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
\n\tEnsure all stock items are allocated to bins.
\n\tEnsure all bins are labelled correctly.
\n\tEnsure all stock is packaged according to company procedures to prevent damage.
\n\tAll stock in bins to be neatly wrapped to prevent damages.
\n\tConduct stock counts, as required.<\/p>\n
DISTRIBUTION CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tControl logistics function, ensuring all orders are dispatched timeously, including:
\n\tManage freight forwarders and ensure timeous collection from couriers.
\n\tEnsure routes are planned and optimized to minimize delivery times and costs.
\n\tControl dispatch quality, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
\n\tEnsure dispatch accuracy as per Invoice, on time and in full, as per Dispatch Procedures.
\n\tEnsure IBTR\u2019s (Inter-Branch Transfers) are completed as per company procedures.
\n\tCheck and verify shipping records, manage queries on shipping shortages or overages timeously.
\n\tEnsure uptime of fleet to deliver on customer service requirements, including:
\n\tPreventative\/ad hoc maintenance and readiness for unplanned downtime.
\n\tEnsure all vehicles are serviced as per service schedules.
\n\tEnsure all vehicle inspections are completed weekly as per company procedures.
\n\tEnsure all drivers comply with the Road Traffic Act and\/ Or AARTO that the delivery fleet is compliant with any associated regulations and\/or other legal requirements.<\/p>\n
RECEIVING CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all deliveries are received, checked for accuracy, and processed in a timely manner.
\n\tEnsure stock received via containers are correct and meets company quality standards.
\n\tEnsure documented quality checks is completed on each shipment and review accordingly.
\n\tEnsure all stock are packed into correct bins as per company procedures.
\n\tAll stock in bins to be neatly wrapped to prevent damages.
\n\tAssist with the loading and unloading of products from vehicles and containers.<\/p>\n
ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n
\tProduce reports and statistics monthly.
\n\tIN\/OUT status report.
\n\tVehicle Drops and mileage reports.
\n\tVehicle and equipment maintenance.
\n\tInventory slow movers and dead stock report.
\n\tStock variance report.
\n\tStocktake progress report.
\n\tStock valuation report.
\n\tStock shortage reports.
\n\tOvertime and short time report. (If required).
\n\tOTIF Report. (If required).
\n\tInspect x codes (BOM Control codes) and ensure that all x codes on the system are cleared to 0.
\n\tOrder PPE for employees, according to company processes, in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
\n\tAny other warehouse administrative tasks as required by the Branch Manager.<\/p>\n
SHEQ INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONTROL<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to the OHS Act.
\n\tTake reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves of other persons.
\n\tCo-operate with the employer to enable prescribed duties or requirements to be complied with.
\n\tCarry out any lawful order given and obey the health and safety rules and procedures.
\n\tReport any unsafe or unhealthy situation to the employer.
\n\tReport any incident to the employer.
\n\tComply with health and safety processes.
\n\tEnsure the warehouse maintains and complies with standards of health and safety, and hygiene always.
\n\tAlways maintain high standards of housekeeping.
\n\tEnsure PPE is always worn in the warehouse.
\n\tParticipate in any Integrated Management System activities as required.
\n\tIdentify and report opportunities for improvement, Non-Conformances, and Incidents in area of responsibility.
\n\tEnsure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
\n\tAlways maintain a high level of customer service levels standards.<\/p>\n
