\tResponsible for providing financial advice on both the Investec Life risk and My Investments products to Investec Private Bank clients in accordance with FAIS legislation and according to Investec’s professional financial advice guidelines.<\/p>\n
Description of the skill and experience required\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThis includes doing an analysis of the client’s financial affairs (including a Risk inventory), developing a financial plan (Six Step Financial Planning Process) and selling Investec Life and My Investments products directly to the clients should this be recommended in the financial plan. Ensure that proper record keeping of advice is maintained.
\n\tPerform annual financial reviews with clients
\n\tClients will be sourced through Private Bank Marketing or by referrals from the Private Bankers directly
\n\tBuild and maintain close relationships with Private Bankers. Private Bankers are the gatekeepers to the clients and must be included or\u00a0kept informed in all activities with clients to ensure continued access and support
\n\tEnsure credibility with clients and Private Bankers through professionalism and demonstration of expertise
\n\tAssist with the sales and marketing of Investec Life product range with other distribution or service channels. Advisors will also be\u00a0required to assist the Client Services Centre should phone in clients require advice or more technical (product and advice) support
\n\tAssist regional Private Bank management with marketing and sales plans
\n\tAlways operate within the Private Bank business strategies and Investec’s brand guidelines
\n\tDevelop and manage own sales plan and sales pipeline
\n\tExtensive regional travel required<\/p>\n
Experience, skill and capability
\nEducation | Knowledge<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary qualification and CFP would be preferred
\n\tThree to five years’ experience in financial services preferable in financial advice or legal advice positions<\/p>\n

\tUnderstanding of long-term insurance business and markets
\n\tKnowledge and understanding of the relevant income tax and estate duty legislation
\n\tSound experience with financial planning processes
\n\tEnsure that the core financial planning competencies are maintained through continuous training and development

\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills
\n\tRelationship building and networking
\n\tAbility to organise and prioritise
\n\tAbility to work under pressure
\n\tTeam player
\n\tMust have initiative and be tenacious
