Purpose of the role<\/p>\n
\tThe Category Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of assigned product categories.
\n\tThis role focuses on driving sales, optimizing product assortment, and ensuring alignment with the company\u2019s overall offer strategy.
\n\tThe Category Manager works closely with the Group Market Leader to achieve financial and operational targets.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Category Strategy Development:<\/p>\n
\tDefine and implement category-specific strategies in line with market trends and customer needs.
\n\tConduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and innovation<\/p>\n
Customer Focus:<\/p>\n
\tUnderstand customer preferences and incorporate feedback into category strategies.
\n\tEnsure a seamless and engaging customer experience within the category.<\/p>\n
Product Management:<\/p>\n
\tOversee product selection, pricing, and lifecycle management.
\n\tCollaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure product quality.<\/p>\n
Performance Monitoring:<\/p>\n
\tTrack and analyze category performance metrics, including sales, margin, and inventory turnover.
\n\tImplement corrective actions to address underperforming areas.<\/p>\n
Collaboration and Communication:<\/p>\n
\tWork with cross-functional teams, including marketing and supply chain, to execute category plans.
\n\tProvide regular updates and insights to the Group Market Leader.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
\n\t3-5 years of experience in category management or a similar role.
\n\tStrong analytical and negotiation skills.
\n\tStrategic skills
\n\tProficiency in data analysis and forecasting tools.<\/p>\n
