\tClaims and Salvage Cost Management
\n\tMonitor claims cost performance, leakage, and salvage recovery metrics.
\n\tDrive use of preferred vendors and service providers.
\n\tReview and implement improvements to reduce average cost per claim.
\n\tEnsure cost-effective disposal of salvage assets in compliance with legal and company standards.<\/p>\n
Quality Control and Compliance<\/p>\n
\tAudit claims and salvage processes monthly using standard checklists.
\n\tReview closed and open files to establish quality trends and leakage hotspots.
\n\tAuthorize claims payments within delegated authority and ensure SLA adherence.
\n\tMaintain audit trail of rejections and ensure accurate communication to brokers.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Operational Analysis<\/p>\n
\tAnalyse leakage, QA, operational and financial performance reports.
\n\tProvide actionable insights and escalate recurring issues to senior leadership.
\n\tTrack compliance to regulatory standards, including TCF, FAIS, and short-term insurance laws.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder and Customer Focus<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with brokers, clients, assessors, suppliers, and legal partners to facilitate effective resolution.
\n\tResolve escalated service issues while ensuring client-centric decisions are made.
\n\tMaintain internal stakeholder relationships to optimize claims outcomes.<\/p>\n
Leadership and People Management<\/p>\n
\tLead by example through ethical leadership and Bryte values.
\n\tCoach, train, and develop team members, ensuring clarity in objectives and roles.
\n\tManage staff leave, timekeeping, discipline, and professional conduct.
\n\tEnsure adherence to EE and talent development strategies.
\n\tConduct biannual performance appraisals and monthly check-ins for all team members.<\/p>\n
Strategy and Change Management<\/p>\n
\tDrive and implement Bryte’s claims handling strategy across both salvage and liabilities.
\n\tAct as a change agent, introducing process and performance enhancements.
\n\tSupport claims transformation, digitization, and continuous improvement projects.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tMatric + NQF Level 6 (e.g., B-Degree)
\n\tFAIS-compliant qualification (minimum 150 credits)
\n\tRegulatory Exam certification
\n\tAIISA or FIISA certification
\n\tParalegal Diploma or LLB Degree
\n\tMinimum 6 years of short-term insurance claims experience, including liability claims.
\n\tAt least 5 years in a management or leadership role in a similar claims\u2019 environment.
\n\tProven track record in salvage operations and third-party claims cost management.<\/p>\n
