The DevOps Engineer will manage infrastructure, including setup, monitoring, resource allocation, and deployment architecture using a wide range of AWS cloud technologies. You will lead the charge in optimizing our development and operations processes, ensuring seamless integration between various teams and technologies.<\/p>\n
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS<\/p>\n
\t3-4 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer.\u00a0
\n\t3-year degree\/diploma in the technology field will be advantageous
\n\tAWS DevOps Professional Certification.
\n\tGood understanding of Agile processes.
\n\tPractical experience working with automated deployments and source control.
\n\tAbility to code and script.
\n\tExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
\n\tProcess-oriented with great documentation skills.
\n\tKnowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
\n\tExperience administering and deploying development CI\/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins.<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
\nProject Planning<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in strategic project-planning meetings.
\n\tProvide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits.
\n\tCreate and share operational requirements and development forecasts to allow for timely and accurate planning of projects.
\n\tFoster cross-functional collaboration between development, operations, and QA teams to enhance communication and break down silos.<\/p>\n
Development<\/p>\n
\tInstall and configure solutions, implement reusable components, translate technical requirements, assist with all stages of test data, develop interface stubs and simulators, and perform script maintenance and updates.<\/p>\n
Deployment<\/p>\n
\tDesign, implement, and manage robust CI\/CD pipelines that accelerate software delivery while maintaining code quality and security.
\n\tBuild automated deployments through the use of configuration management technology.
\n\tResponsible for making modules ready for production, which entails moving them according to specific procedures and documenting knowledge transfer.
\n\tEmploy IaC principles to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure, resulting in consistent and reproducible environments.<\/p>\n
Maintenance and Troubleshooting<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for routine application maintenance tasks.
\n\tCreate requirements and procedures for implementing routine maintenance.
\n\tDiagnose and resolve complex issues in production environments, contributing to high system availability and reliability.<\/p>\n
Performance Management<\/p>\n
\tImplement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to ensure timely issue detection, rapid incident response, and proactive performance optimization.
\n\tGive recommendations for enhancing performance via gap analysis, identifying the most practical alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications.
\n\tIdentify manual processes prone to error and inefficiency, then develop automated solutions to streamline operations and reduce human intervention.<\/p>\n
Software Quality Standards<\/p>\n
\tGuide and implement software and product design.
\n\tProduce code in line with project requirements.
\n\tImplement and maintain appropriate security standards.
\n\tPerform and request code reviews.
\n\tWrite and maintain unit and functional tests.<\/p>\n
Debugging & issue resolution<\/p>\n
\tUse integrated logging and debugging tools to identify, reproduce, and fix issues.<\/p>\n
Incident management<\/p>\n
\tAct as a key player in the Incident Response Team, providing rapid solutions during system outages and degradation.
\n\tDevelop and maintain incident documentation, including incident reports and lessons learned, to facilitate continuous improvement and future incident prevention.<\/p>\n
Risk management & compliance (ISO 27001)<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that DevOps processes comply with ISO 27001 requirements, particularly those relating to information security management.<\/p>\n
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING WITH:<\/p>\n
\tContainer orchestration services – Docker, Kubernetes
\n\tInfrastructure As Code technologies – Terraform, Ansible.
\n\tAgile software development in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, Typescript.
\n\tSignificant experience with open-source operating system environments.<\/p>\n
