\tThe job involves joining GIF.
\n\tYou will work in the Johannesburg office, but will be in daily contact with team members from the other offices within our business.
\n\tExpert tuition will be provided in the FAST financial modelling standard in MS Excel, which is a market leading methodology in the production of long-term budgeting, operational and transactional financial models<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial modelling is key to this role and the work will involve:<\/p>\n
\tProviding model assurance service\/model auditing following the shadow modelling approach, where tested templates are used to review client models;
\n\tReviewing project related documents like credit agreements, tax and accounting reports and payment mechanisms for assurance;
\n\tTaking an active part in a continuous process of improving the quality and productivity of model auditing processes and procedures; and
\n\tInteracting with the clients ranging from leading energy and infrastructure project financiers, investors, developers, government agencies and advisors.<\/p>\n

\n\thave an excellent academic background
\n\thave studied accounting and\/or finance
\n\tpossesses strong analytical skills and a critical and questioning attitude and enjoy the challenge of solving logic problems; can anticipate questions and provide the answers as part of your solution
\n\tis motivated by the energy and infrastructure sectors \u2013 the projects we work on involve raising finance to get real life projects off the ground that have an enormously positive societal value
