Job Role:<\/p>\n
\tThe Legal and Compliance Advisor will be required to support the business with general and commercial legal advice \/ guidance on a broad range of high impact business initiatives.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDrafting, reviewing and assisting with the negotiation of various commercial agreements.
\n\tProviding legal advice and opinions on various legal matters.
\n\tAdvice and assistance on effective new legislative enactments, amendments and matters affecting the fintech and payment space.
\n\tWorking knowledge of company, tax and consumer legislation, including the National Credit Act (NCA), the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).
\n\tFacilitate dispute resolution and litigation process.
\n\tMergers and Acquisitions advice including due diligence investigations.
\n\tManagement and advice regarding trademarks, copyright and design matters.
\n\tConduct legal research, draft legal opinions, and provide legal advice.
\n\tProvide or facilitate training.
\n\tPro-actively understand and be able to communicate and advise on pending legal changes \/ Acts that will affect Flash.
\n\tSupport the legal team as required.
\n\tWorking knowledge of company secretarial procedures.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tA BAccLLB qualification.
\n\tAt least 1 – 2 years of post-qualification experience in legal and\/or accounting \/ risk \/ business finance.
\n\tExperience in contract drafting and negotiation.
\n\tPreferably admission as an attorney.<\/p>\n
