MAIN PURPOSE:<\/p>\n
\tProvide first-line operational support to ensure that quality standards are maintained, and production efficiency targets are met.<\/p>\n
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure proper and procedural start-up and shut down of machines.
\n\tEnsure that Colour and resin material changes are done as per the production plan.
\n\tEnsure that preforms are produced to the correct quality standards.
\n\tOptimize and monitor machine process parameters and cycle times to ensure that they are within the set guidelines.
\n\tDo basic troubleshooting of machine processing, quality and technical issues.
\n\tExecute Setups, material and Colour changes.
\n\tExecute daily, weekly and monthly machine maintenance.
\n\tDo shift reports and ensure that shift hand over is done with all relevant information, including safety, housekeeping, process and other technical issues.
\n\tCapture downtime codes and reasons on the ProLink accurately.
\n\tInvestigate causes for machine downtimes while on shift and give a proper report.
\n\tAssist the team with production tasks to ensure that the production targets are met.
\n\tEnsure and carry out housekeeping activities to ensure high level of cleanliness of the equipment and its surroundings.
\n\tEnsure the necessary process parameters are captured, and records are correctly maintained.
\n\tInteract with production team, identify and resolve issues as they arise
\n\tWork closely with the shift QCs to approve the product quality during the first offs.
\n\tReport technical requirements and equipment breakdowns to the process engineer and maintenance coordinator.<\/p>\n

\tGrade 12 \/ Matric
\n\tPost Matric qualification in a technical field (Mechanical \/ Electrical)
\n\tKnowledge of and insight into mechanical operation of machines
\n\tKnowledge of extrusion blow moulding and processing
\n\tKnowledge of and experience in set-up of machines
\n\tExperience in quality control testing
\n\tExperience in working in a manufacturing environment’
\n\tStrong process-orientation and systematic approach<\/p>\n
