The ideal candidate would be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining and complying with the South African National Standard, SANS 10142, wiring code;
\n\tEnsuring that risk control standards are maintained;
\n\t20 Keys program HACCP, Risk control, OHS Act, EFIS and all other audit\u00a0requirements in processing plant must be adhered to at all times;
\n\tBeing present at start up and ensuring that all start up procedures are followed;
\n\tEnsuring that all shut down procedures are adhered to after the end of the last shift of the week or before public holidays;
\n\tLiaison with other electricians regarding outstanding maintenance, projects, time keeping, safety matters, security and all other matters that is related to the maintenance team;
\n\tRoutine maintenance on processing equipment;
\n\tDealing with all unscheduled processing interruptions resulting from breakdowns;
\n\tInstallation and maintenance of processing equipment;
\n\tManagement of all resources to the maximum benefit of the company;
\n\tMaintaining housekeeping standards.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMust be a Qualified Electrician (Red Seal);
\n\tA Wiremen\u2019s License will be a distinct advantage;
\n\tAt least a N4 Theoretical Electrical Certificate;
\n\tPrevious experience in the electrical maintenance\/repair of Poultry processing and rendering plant equipment will be\u00a0 a distinct advantage;
\n\tMust be a team player;
\n\tWilling to work shifts and overtime;
\n\tFluent in English and an additional official language;
\n\tAbility to work in a highly pressurized environment and deadline driven;
\n\tMust have own reliable transport.<\/p>\n
