An opportunity exists in the Tax Advisory Division of Mazars; an international professional services firm, based at Mazars House in Century City, Cape Town.<\/p>\n
Purposes of the job:<\/p>\n
\tTo independently attend to and lead transfer pricing assignments, carry out research relating to a variety of tax and other related issues (covering the full spectrum of transfer pricing) and to compile appropriate reports\/opinions\/letters and other documents. \u00a0To review reports\/opinions\/letters and documents prepared by other tax advisors\/clients and to liaise with clients, their advisors and SARS where appropriate.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tResearch
\n\tDrafting of comprehensive transfer pricing documentation including, conducting functional analysis interviews; attending to economic analysis and industry analysis Consulting and tax advice, including transfer pricing reviews and planning
\n\tTax administration and dispute resolution
\n\tBudget management in respect of client engagements
\n\tManage risk management procedures
\n\tManage individual\/business unit work performance
\n\tArticles and other client communication material
\n\tTraining & development
\n\tAssist with department budgets
\n\tRecommend billing amounts and timings
\n\tRole model the organisational culture and instil culture in others
\n\tMentoring and coaching
\n\tMaintain client relationships
\n\tGrow client portfolio
\n\tIdentify cross-selling opportunities<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAccounting\/Legal\/Economics degree plus post graduate tax qualification
\n\tMinimum of 1-2 years\u2019 specific tax consulting experience as a client- facing Tax Consultant in a professional services environment
\n\tMinimum of 1-2 years\u2019 transfer pricing experience is essential
\n\tSound knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines as well as South African transfer pricing regulations and guidance
\n\tExcellent computer skills (MS Office package)
\n\tFamiliarity with relevant software to perform comparable searches
\n\tExcellent writing and reporting skills
\n\tAbility to analyse and interpret data and situations
\n\tAbility to gather information and solve problems
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of the team
\n\tExcellent relating and networking skills
\n\tAbility to plan and organise activities
\n\tAbility to apply professional \/ specialist \/ technical expertise<\/p>\n
