integrations work streams including contributing to the activities as called upon by application support teams.<\/p>\n<p>Process Improvement<\/p>\n<p>\tManage and maintain documentation related to the day-to-day operations, i.e. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)<br \/>\n\tActively monitor software development &amp; testing and delivery processes and ensure continuous improvement thereof.<br \/>\n\tEnsure that the correct processes and methodologies are followed consistently.<br \/>\n\tBuild a continuous-improvement culture within software development teams.<br \/>\n\tDrive engineering initiatives to improve best practices and streamlined software delivery while striving for continuous improvement.<br \/>\n\tImplement remedial actions where necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting<\/p>\n<p>\tProvision of timely and accurate reports in accordance with business and management requirements.<br \/>\n\tRegular cadence reporting to line manager on issues, statuses, and progress and software development initiatives.<br \/>\n\tReport on status, risk and timelines regarding operational delivery to provide visibility and line of sight.<br \/>\n\tReport on Software development activities and key performance &amp; delivery metrics of the discipline.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Management\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business<br \/>\n\tProvide specialised and technical support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.<br \/>\n\tEstablish and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships and implement remedial actions where required, in the achievement of organisational goals.<br \/>\n\tFacilitate cross-team initiatives with Product Owners, Project Managers, and other Development teams.<\/p>\n<p>People Management\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tDefine approach for upskilling, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the discipline<br \/>\n\tCare Management in terms of building highly cross functional teams<br \/>\n\tDrive innovation and innovative thinking<br \/>\n\tManage team members, set targets and goals in a functional competency.<br \/>\n\tOversee and ensure the training and development of software engineering team.<br \/>\n\tManage offshore\/external engineering resources.<br \/>\n\tPlan capacity for effective delivery.<br \/>\n\tProvide mentorship and inspiration to teams.<br \/>\n\tProvide regular performance and engagement guidance and feedback to subordinates.<br \/>\n\tDrive knowledge transfer and cross skilling between team members.<br \/>\n\tDrive a culture of personal quality and accountability.<br \/>\n\tConduct staff meetings, engagement sessions to maintain departmental standards.<br \/>\n\tInterview and recruit new members of the team.<br \/>\n\tWhen required, initiate disciplinary processes for team members with support from HC when required.<br \/>\n\tResolve grievances raised by team members.<br \/>\n\tDevelop a high performing team by embedding formal performance management process and informal coaching.<br \/>\n\tAddress poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance Improvement Program and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with.<\/p>\n<p>Governance, Risk and Compliance\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure compliance to all applicable processes and policies.<br \/>\n\tDrive remediation of risks, issues and deviations of applicable process and policies.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s Degree (NQF 7 and higher) in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technical discipline<br \/>\n\tPost graduate qualification will be an advantage<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tA minimum of 5-8 years\u2019 experience as a Software Developer, with 2-3 years\u2019 experience in a technical leadership position<br \/>\n\tProven experience with software architecture principles and the ability to apply them to design scalable and maintainable systems<br \/>\n\tExperience in monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, App Dynamics, Splunk, PRTG,<br \/>\n\tExperience in unit testing and code quality tools such as SonarQube<br \/>\n\tExperience in conducting effective research as well as the ability to analyse, troubleshoot and modify highly complex software systems independently<br \/>\n\tProficient in version control systems like GIT<br \/>\n\tProven track record in driving change successfully through a team by demonstrated by successful project completions, adoption of new technologies and process improvements<br \/>\n\tExperience in agile, DevOps development practises<br \/>\n\tExperience of working in a high-pressured environment and working to tight deadlines<br \/>\n\tTechnical expertise and a good understanding of the underlying business processes and systems<br \/>\n\tExperience of working with multiple third-party vendors<br \/>\n\tExperience in advocating development practices like test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment<br \/>\n\tPreferred developments technologies: C#, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, WPF, WCF, Azure DevOps, GIT, REST, JSON, XML, SOAP<br \/>\n\tPreferred databases technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL variants<br \/>\n\tPreferred Platform technologies: AWS, Azure, VMWare, Windows &amp;
