Evaluation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Detailed Description<br \/>\nConduct Research\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tRespond to research needs of clients and anticipate clients\u2019 research needs\u00a0<br \/>\n\tDesign and manage research projects to objectively answer specific questions\u00a0<br \/>\n\tConduct planning meeting(s) to develop Project Plan and develop conceptual framework for research papers\/reports\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCollect and verify information from appropriate sources Interpret data guided by policy\/legislative frameworks\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide input on briefings to service providers for commissioned research and coordinate pro-active collaborative research project across clusters\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Strategic research support and planning\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tParticipate in Committee Business Planning processes to inform business plan and programme\u00a0<br \/>\n\tRegularly attend Committee meetings and provide research input\/advice as requested\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAttend Committee management meetings and implement tasks emanating from meetings\u00a0<br \/>\n\tThrough proactive research identify key issues within sector that should be brought to Committee\u2019s attention for purposes of informing oversight, monitoring and legislative functions\u00a0<br \/>\n\tParticipate in Unit publications to highlight strategic priorities for sector for purposes of informing oversight, monitoring and legislative functions\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oversight support, public and international participation\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide research, analysis and information support in relation to oversight visits, study tours, sectoral parliaments and parliamentary projects Prepare, in proactive manner, briefing documents for oversight visits, study tours and meeting of international parliamentary fora\u00a0<br \/>\n\tParticipate in conceptualisation process for sectoral parliaments and parliamentary projects<br \/>\n\tPrepare concept documents for sectoral parliaments and parliamentary projects\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide on-site research support to members of delegations to regional and international parliamentary fora, such as the IPU, CPA, PAP and SADC-PF\u00a0<br \/>\n\tDraft reports on meetings of regional parliamentary fora, such as the PAP and SADC-PF\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAttend task teams\/Exco\/any other related meeting when required to provide content and input\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Operational procedure and sector specialisation\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tKeep abreast of policy and legislative developments, as well as the response of key role-players (such as civil society bodies) to new developments\u00a0<br \/>\n\tIdentify policy and legislative gaps for future research\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEnhance specialist knowledge and keep abreast of developments in sector through internal and external seminars, workshops, conferences, training and contacts\/stakeholders\u00a0<br \/>\n\tParticipate in staff development initiatives and in Unit business planning processes\u00a0<br \/>\n\tSubmit monthly report timeously in approved format inclusion in the Unit\u2019s month report\u00a0<br \/>\n\tParticipate in Unit, Sectional, Divisional and Institutional activities\u00a0<br \/>\n\tUtilise Project Management, Research and Computer skills\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Quality control and information dissemination\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tIdentify appropriate clients for dissemination of proactive research products\u00a0<br \/>\n\tQuality control documents according to Unit Standards and Procedure and disseminate documents according to Units Standards and Procedure\u00a0<br \/>\n\tPresent recommendations and proposals based on research finding and within the existing policy and legislative frameworks to Presiding Officers, Senior Management, delegates and colleagues<\/p>\n<p>Job Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tApplicants should be in possession of Matric and an Honours Degree (Equivalent to NQF level 8) in Public Management\/Administration, Political Science, Public Policy &amp;
