Overview and Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tThe Driver Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the legal compliance with the transportation of the Dangerous Goods Legislation and ensuring that the Cylinder Fleet is always maintained in a roadworthy condition.<\/p>\n
Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tConducting general physical fleet inspections – regularly assess the condition and safety of our fleet vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
\n\tOversee essential maintenance tasks, including the management of licensing, Certificates of Fitness (COF), and fire permits.
\n\tMaintain compliance with regulations regarding dangerous goods, including the proper placement of placard signs on vehicles.
\n\tMaintaining a clean and organized environment.
\n\tManaging servicing records by keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all servicing and maintenance activities performed on fleet vehicles.
\n\tPromoting Safety and Quality- adhering to safety protocols and quality assurance measures to enhance operational efficiency.
\n\tProviding excellent customer service.<\/p>\n
Essential Requirements<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of a Grade 12 certificate;
\n\tA valid unendorsed Code EC drivers\u2019 licence with (PrDPd);
\n\tMust have a Dangerous Goods Certificate;
\n\tA minimum of 3 \u2013 5 years\u2019 experience in the operation of the heavy-duty vehicles and familiar with the transportation of dangerous goods. Be mechanically minded;
\n\tMust be computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite;
\n\tMust have good verbal and written communication skills, specifically in English.<\/p>\n
