\tTo provide an efficient data processing and administration service within the HR department in order to ensure accurate payroll records of employees as well as to contribute to the timeous and accurate payment of salaries to all staff in the AkzoNobel South Africa.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure Compliance as well as efficient and effective implementation of remuneration policy, procedures and practices in collaboration with Rewards.

Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Payroll Processing:<\/p>\n
\tAct as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees and management, providing prompt and professional resolutions.
\n\tEnd to End Payroll administration linked to benefits\u00a0
\n\tManage and oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accurate calculations of salaries, bonuses, deductions, and other compensations using SAGE 300 including and not limited to :
\n\tObtaining, processing and ensuring timeous and accurate payment of salaries to all staff in the group
\n\tProcess group payroll, calculate overtime, Sunday and public holiday hours, allowances, bonuses, commission, leave pay and salary increases
\n\tAnalyse and check stores attendance registers and timesheets
\n\tUploading leave forms and cross check ESS applications
\n\tUpdating current employee information (personal details, banking details and contract status)
\n\tAnalyse and check new employee uploads
\n\tReceiving and processing deductions, garnishee orders \/ acknowledgement of debt
\n\tDistribution of payslips to site & release to ESS for all staff
\n\tOversee UI-19’s, certificate of service for terminated employees and employees on maternity leave
\n\tUIF Declarations to DoL
\n\tStatistics report to DoL\u00a0
\n\tProvisional calculation of COIDA Earnings to DoL at Financial year end (Feb\/Mar)
\n\tAlexander Forbes Pension Fund deductions to be captured on Funds at work portal<\/p>\n
Compliance & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with payroll legislation, tax laws and other statutory obligations. Review and submit the completion of the following reports for salary sign off: summary of payroll changes; variance reports; overtime payments; loan payments and balances; and bonus payments.
\n\tPay file & nett totals to Finance & 3rd Party\u00a0
\n\tPayroll Recon, nett totals & EMP201 to Finance
\n\tGeneral Ledger to Finance
\n\tLeave reports to management\u00a0
\n\tEnsure accurate tax filing and payment for employees in accordance with the relevant country tax laws ( EMP201 & EMP501)<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tA diploma \/ degree in commerce \/ human resources or any related qualification\/experience
\n\tSAGE 300 Expert\/ consultancy background
\n\t3 – 5 years payroll experience or experience as an HRIS practitioner with payroll systems experience (Must have Sage300)
\n\tProficiency at intermediate level in Excel and Microsoft Office
\n\tStrong knowledge and understanding of tax regulations and other statutory requirements
\n\tKnowledge of remuneration practices, compliance, and optimal salary structuring
\n\tMinimum of 5 years of hands-on payroll experience with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
\n\tBasic Knowledge of SA labour legislation
\n\tAbility to work on your own \u2013 taking ownership
\n\tAbility to work under pressure
\n\tExperience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
\n\tExpertise in managing multiple deadlines, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
\n\tExceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
\n\tAbility to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve payroll issues and discrepancies<\/p>\n
Advantageous\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMembership of SAPA (South African Payroll Association)
\n\tExperience in a Payroll Outsourcing environment will be advantageous
\n\tKnowledge of other African countries payroll tax legislation will be advantageous
