\tSenior Pricing Analyst to report to the Head of Pricing.\u00a0
\n\tApplicants must be based in Cape Town, South Africa, or be prepared to relocate. The role also requires limited travel.
\n\tWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Pricing Analyst to join our reinsurance team. The ideal candidate will possess deep analytical expertise, a robust understanding of reinsurance treaty pricing, and a strong background in insurance pricing methodologies\u00a0
\n\tThis dynamic role requires a passionate, energetic individual to handle reinsurance pricing activities, tools management, manage exposure, profitability and growth.<\/p>\n
Key accountabilities and responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
\tPricing of reinsurance treaties across multiple classes of business and in various geographies.
\n\tDevelop and refine pricing models for reinsurance products, incorporating risk variables and market conditions.\u00a0
\n\tEvaluation of historical loss data, exposure profiles, and emerging trends to set pricing guidelines.\u00a0
\n\tCollaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure alignment between pricing strategies and overall risk management objectives.<\/p>\n
What will make you successful in this role?
\nSKILLS REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Actuarial Science, Business Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.\u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, risk analysis, or actuarial roles within the reinsurance or insurance industry.
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in mathematical\/statistical techniques and software skills.
\n\tAbility to collate, analyse and interpret statistical data.
\n\tProven prior experience in P&C actuarial work.
\n\tStrong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.<\/p>\n
