Key Purpose of the role<\/p>\n
\tThe vacancy is for an instructional design role within the Discovery Employee Benefits \u2013 Group Risk business unit. The role requires the Instructional Designer to develop learning material according to best practice and high-quality standards. The role will also involve constant evaluation of the learning cycle and regular updating of material.<\/p>\n
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to<\/p>\n
\tConsult with stakeholders across business areas to establish mutually beneficial relationships
\n\tSubsequent structuring and development of learning content.
\n\tMaintaining and adhering to controls throughout the training development process such as version control, quality control etc.
\n\tMaintaining currency of knowledge in the areas specific to learning and development, including but not limited to learning technologies, learning concepts and national qualifications
\n\tSupport of eLearning clients to resolve functionality issues and liaising with LMS supplier on platform stability
\n\tDesign and develop learning material for online and classroom learning interventions
\n\tConsulting with business areas to agree on reasonable and achievable deadlines
\n\tTrain and provide guidance to the facilitators to ensure that learning outcomes are achieved through effective presentation of material
\n\tThe incumbent must have the ability to develop material based on technical product information and specification
\n\tThe incumbent must have knowledge of Employee Benefits (Retirement Fund and Group Risk)<\/p>\n

Education, Skills and Experience<\/p>\n
\tEducation & Training qualification, specifically Design & Development
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 instructional design experience
\n\tEmployee Benefit, Retirement Fund knowledge – advantageous
\n\t1-2 years\u2019 experience in Employee Benefits \u2013 advantageous
\n\tAdobe Suite\/Photoshop\/Illustrator\/InDesign\/ Premiere-Pro \u2013 intermediate level
\n\tArticulate 360 – advance
\n\tLearning Management System (SAP)<\/p>\n
