\tDis-Chem Pharmacies requires a Casual Merchandiser for their Sitari Fields store in Macassar.
\n\tYou will ensure that basic Dis-Chem merchandising standards are properly executed and maintained.
\n\tYour responsibilities will also lie in providing excellent customer service.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
Essential:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric
\n\tUp to 6 months\u2019 retail experience
\n\tComputer literate \u2013 MS Office
\n\tWilling and able to work retail hours<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tAt least 1 year retail experience<\/p>\n
Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tRestock merchandise as needed to ensure maximum sales
\n\tEnsure delivered stock\/stock pulled from the storeroom, is stored and packed in the correct space timeously
\n\tEnsure stock on shelves has not reached sell-by date
\n\tEnsure the full range of products is on the shelves at all times
\n\tFacilitate rotation of stock on a regular, FIFO basis
\n\tReport low stock levels, out-of-stock items, damaged stock and expired stock to management
\n\tAssist with counting of stock files and general stocktaking
\n\tAdhere to Dis-Chem\u2019s operating standards, store layout and planograms
\n\tEnsure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock, and taken to the designated area
\n\tEnsure front shop shelves and products are neatly presented and visible at all times, with correct labels and pricing
\n\tReport all price discrepancies to management
\n\tKeep abreast of current and new products
\n\tEnsure merchandising displays are built, faced up, stocked and maintained
\n\tMaintain daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays, and be responsible for your designated stock in the storeroom as well as on the shop floor
\n\tAssist with loading and off-loading of stock
\n\tEnsure items without barcodes are clearly marked
\n\tAssist with back shopping
\n\tAssist in training of new staff
\n\tProvide friendly, helpful and courteous assistance and advice to all customers
\n\tEnsure all out of stock queries from customers are followed up with the customer service out of stock list
\n\tEnsure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved
\n\tEnsure the correct uniform and badge are worn at all times
\n\tMinimise any losses by handling all merchandise carefully
\n\tAdhere to Dis-Chem policies and procedures, SOPs and health and safety rules and regulations<\/p>\n
Competencies:<\/p>\n

\tStrong command of the English language
\n\tPresentable
\n\tEffective engagement with customers, management and staff
\n\tTrustworthy and honest
\n\tTime management<\/p>\n
Advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tBilingual
\n\tKnowledge of merchandising standards and the FMCG industry
\n\tProduct and category knowledge
\n\tAbility to analyse ZMORE reports for ordering and stock taking
\n\tReport bad\/suspicious behaviour relating to both staff and customers<\/p>\n
Special conditions of employment:<\/p>\n
\tWilling and able to work retail hours
\n\tAble and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
\n\tReliable transport and\/or reside in close proximity to the store
\n\tSouth African citizen
\n\tClear credit and criminal records
