Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
Controlling<\/p>\n
\tSet and check targets and monitoring the performance of each Business Unit \/ Department within the business, in line with their set budgets.
\n\tCoordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and report on variances, incl. Business Units, Balance Sheets, P&L, Cash Flows and WCM.
\n\tDevelop and maintain the financial forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow).
\n\tManage the monthly management reporting timelines.
\n\tMonitor project results and forecasts monthly.
\n\tCoordinate all reporting processes to Head Quarters (Germany).
\n\tCoordinate and manage continuous improvement programs.<\/p>\n
Finance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
\n\tManage the entire accounting function.
\n\tImplement measures to improve WCM position.
\n\tCoordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes.
\n\tResearch technical accounting issues for compliance.
\n\tEnsure compliance with all relevant Legislation.<\/p>\n
Treasury<\/p>\n
\tTake responsibility for the entire cash management process.
\n\tEnsure effective cash flow and net liquidity management.
\n\tLiaise with the Bank Manager.<\/p>\n
Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tFacilitate the application and maintenance of insurance policies and bank guarantees.
\n\tManage all insurance claims processes effectively.
\n\tIdentify opportunities to reduce insurable and non-insurable risks.
\n\tOptimise the best possible risk to coverage ratio in the best interest of the company.<\/p>\n
Systems Support<\/p>\n
\tEnsure effective support and availability of main and supporting ERP systems.<\/p>\n
Taxation<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
\n\tEnsure timely completion and submission of any tax returns.
\n\tProvide guidance to the business on any transactions which have tax consequences.
\n\tEnsure accurate tax computations and careful assessment of any estimates used in such calculations.
\n\tRemain up-to-date with changes to the most relevant tax legislation applicable to the business.<\/p>\n
Other<\/p>\n
\tManage and report on any special projects.
\n\tMaintain and implement all finance related policies and procedures.
\n\tEnsure effective document management system for department.
\n\tRecruit, manage the performance, train, develop and retain Human Capital to achieve above objectives being mindful financial talent pipelines and BEE requirements.
\n\tAny other job related duties as required from time to time.<\/p>\n
Preferred Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tChartered Accountant.
\n\tAdditional management qualification\/course would be advantageous.
\n\t10 + Years’ relevant experience of which 5 years is in a managerial capacity.
\n\tInternational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
\n\tKnowledge of and experience in Income tax, VAT act and treasury processes and principles.
\n\tKnowledge of and experience in project accounting.
\n\tInsurance and risk management knowledge.
\n\tComputer literate (MS Office and SAP).<\/p>\n
