Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
Effective Management of the Finance Department\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable\/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
\n\tPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS\/GAAP).
\n\tLead the budgeting and forecasting process and provide analysis of variances.
\n\tManage internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial laws.
\n\tImplement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
\n\tImprove financial processes, systems, and reporting tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.
\n\tSupport strategic planning and business decision-making with financial insight and analysis.<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tPlanning of month end\/year end
\n\tPrepare month-end journals\u00a0
\n\tPrepare and review reliable and accurate reports for the company
\n\tOverview of all GL Recons done by Finance Team
\n\tMeeting deadlines on submission of internal and external reports
\n\tAdherence to Group Financial Controls
\n\tMaintain payments for Claims
\n\tPrepare and submit statutory \u00a0Returns
\n\tHandle all queries from SARS
\n\tPrepare Ad-hoc reports\u00a0<\/p>\n
Staff Management and Development<\/p>\n
\tAll team members have clearly defined job profiles aligned to the profile of the manager
\n\tEnsure performance contracts are in place and regular goal reviews completed to assess achievement of results
\n\tProvide support, training and mentoring continuously to ensure that objectives are met
\n\tEnsure completed development plans for each employee
\n\tEnsure that events\/activities taking place in team are effectively communicated within the team and to other teams requiring the information<\/p>\n
Health and Safety<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in the design\/development\/review\/
\n\timplementation and monitoring of the region safety plans for each year
\n\tParticipate in safety forums created by company\u00a0
\n\tComply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
